Edward Snowden is in fear for his life. He should be.
The NSA leaker had been holed up in Hong Kong but checked out of his room Monday shortly after going public, and has not been heard from since. He told Washington Post reporter Barton Gellman that the U.S. intelligence community will most certainly kill you if they think you are the single point of failure that could stop this disclosure and make them the sole owner of this information.
I did not believe that literally, Gellman wrote, but I knew he had reason to fear. But why not believe it? Wouldnt someone with Snowdens background know what he was talking about? What does Gellman think happens in the world of secret intelligence? It is called the dark side for a reason.

President Obama is no stranger to killing in the national interest. He has conducted more known or suspected assassinations than any president ever. The White House claims the president has the power to order the death of an American abroad, like Snowden, but Mr. Obamas lawyers refuse to explain how or why this is constitutional. They simply say trust us, which these days is not their strongest argument. But they know the issue will not be tested in court because the only people with standing to sue are dead before they get the chance.

Well they have said that they would use drones against US citizens on foreign soil.
He should probably go to Russia. And then Russia could announce that Snowden is in Russia. And since our intelligence doesn’t believe anything Russia tells us (ex. Boston Bombers), Snowden would be completely safe.
That’s probably why he left the Hong Kong hotel, because he found out there’s a hit on him.

“trust me” - one of the most commonly used phrases used by conmen the works over...
He’s no dummy and the last thing he did before going away was secret squirrelling away a ton of dirty laundry.
It would be reasonable at some point for him to tell the DarkPowers what would eventuate if they PinkMisted him.
Right?
LOL
He should announce a conversion to islam and Obama will praise his bravery and invite him to the White House for a sleepover.

Bigger question is, will he put out a hit on Glenn Greenwald?
After all, Greenwald has his stuff, and is in a position to drip...drip....drip it out for the rest of his Second Term.
Will he? What would I have any cause to think he already hasn’t?
Two-thirds of the American people believe Obama is not what he claims to be. So, the rat is already out of the bag.
Going after Snowden like he was Osama bin Laden will only prove how desperate Obama really is.
...Why would I...

Sources say that Michael Jackson used to use that tactic to shut up squawkers up.
Oh, c'mon! Didn't he see Enemy of the State with Gene Hackman?
The first response to Snowden was certainly technical:
They’ll be pouring over data logs to try to gain as clear a picture as possible of all the data he had access to, another way of saying “what he copied and will hold over our heads”.
They’re probably still doing that.
They’ll also be doing an max damage assessment in case they decide to PinkMist/staircase/suicide him.
They’ll be afraid of is if they don’t bite the bullet and PinkMist him in some very public way then his example could inspire other whistle-blowers; more problems to deal with.
So there is a real calculus here, for them to mull over, totally aside from the physical search for him.
Putin has already said they would take him. I never thought I would see the day when an American would flee to Russia for politcal asylum to avoid being assassinated for being a political dissident. Never thought it would happen.
I have no doubt he will disappear...but the story will not until this has almost totally silenced the IRS and Benghazi stories.
They didn’t say they would use drones to kill citizens inside the US. They just refused to say they wouldn’t.
