She's on Longmire now and does a nice job.

Speaking of Longmire, the last episode had the female suspect carrying a handgun openly proclaiming she had a permit, which, I thought would be contrary to Wyoming and PC on the writers.

Some of it I found entertaining, lots of other stuff I thought was lame.

The wimmin became the men in that show and vice versa.
The Starbuck (Kara) blond gal was the most masculin of all characters on the show,
Commander Adama was a weeping whining pathetic weak sack.(hard to watch, opposite of original)
His son Apollo was another confused torn mess who didnt know which way was up(complete opposite of the original).
The other strong character was President Laura Roslin who gets promoted tp president because she was Secretary of Education before the attack.(a Hillary like annoying character). She had to change Adama's diapers regularly.

I enjoyed Dr. Gaius Baltar getting into trouble. He was sort of a evil/weak Satan like human character who always gave into temptation and tempted others.

The season I liked the MOST was where they decided to settle on a planet and the cylons moved in a and enslaved them, and they became terrorists in response. That was a fun season.

There is no Sci-Fi channel anymore, its Sy-Fy... yuk.

Agreed. My favorite TV series of all time.

It was a liberal soap opera set in space. All the human frailties are exaggerated far out of proportion: It looked like they picked the crew of Galactica from a trailer park.

Scy fy did that with "Stargate: Universe" too, after the other series did so well they decided to crap all over the franchise with that dreck.

The idiots at Scy fy should be shoved out an airlock. They made it easy for me to decide to drop cable.

I wish you soap lovers would stick to your daytime stuff and stay out of science fiction. You just ruin it.

I noticed that, chalked it up to PC.

Commander Adama was a weeping whining pathetic weak sack.(hard to watch, opposite of original)

He looked tough, but was a little wimpy, and the second in command was a drunk.

President Laura Roslin

I kinda liked her, but the sympathy for her dying-from-cancer thing got a little old. I finally figured out that she (Mary McDonnell) was also the leading female actress in "Dances with Wolves" and "Independence Day".

Dr. Gaius Baltar

Yeah, I was always hoping to see him get his...I guess it was necessary to have his character in there as a tension builder...It worked.

After that I watched the sequel...Capricia, which explained some of the character development of the captain. I believe there are a few additional stand-alone episodes out there which can be found on Netflix.

....
“He looked tough, but was a little wimpy, and the second in command was a drunk.”

I didnt see that in him. I saw he would bark and yell in frustration from time to time but he usually struck me as weak and indecisive,

He seemed to cry on the School Teacher's shoulders alot, and she would tell him what to do.

Incidently, what kind of democracy can you have traveling in space with the military running from Cylons following you and Cylon humanlike spies hidden everywhere (on the ships in space) ?

Did you rent the discs as well? There are two Galactica TV movies that are not available for streaming. They are ‘ Razor ‘ and ‘ The Plan ‘.

No, I watched it all on Roku, but I'll keep an eye out for the two movies.

Where Science Fiction predicts reality.

Kinda reminds me of our current situation, where we are at war with the moslem cylons, and our government and population is also infested with them.

I didnt see that in him.

No, I said he "looked" tough...like Charles Bronson, but he was generally on the verge.

HA, ‘looked’ tough till he talked.

Bronson came across as tough when he talked too.

I dont know, we got a very situation quite different where illegals are invading here by migrating illegally and then their children born here get automatic full citizenship and vote.

And they want MORE free stuff. They vote for free stuff.

And Mcain and Grahamnsety want amnesty to create a fast path for illegals into the military so we can attack them (Muslims) ‘over there’ again, .

And ironically wimpy Adama is Hispanic (the actor is anyway)

No ship based series could predict that,
