My sister has a month left over there. Can’t wait til she gets back.
Several blasts and bursts of small-arms fire erupted for about one hour shortly after dawn on Monday and are ongoing, with the US embassy sounding its “duck and cover” alarm.
“It’s an ongoing gunfight and blasts, and I can tell you that it’s a suicide group attack,” Hashmat Stanikzai, Kabul’s police chief, told AFP.
They probably got data from NSA.

At some point our government will figure out that hiring locals in countries like that does not necessarily end in a good way.
I had an attorney who specializes in Constitutional law give to my government class a Bill of Rights presentation. One of the items he brought up was that in our cell phone and credit card contracts we waive any and all rights to sue those companies. We can go to arbitration, but the contracts state that gets company gets to choose the arbitrator.

Unreal and inexcusable.
Large explosions are being heard coming from the military side of Kabul international airport, which houses a NATO headquarters.
The explosions began at about 4:30am on Monday from the direction of the military headquarters.
The attackers took over a building which security forces then attempted to storm, police in Kabul said.
“An explosion ... occurred after which a group of suicide attackers entered a building in Qasaba road, west of Kabul airport, and started sporadic shooting,” Hashmat Stanikzai, Kabul’s police chief, said in a statement.
“Now the area is sealed off by the security forces and a stand-off between security forces and the attackers is ongoing.”
The US-led NATO coalition’s Joint Command headquarters at the airport runs the day-to-day operations of the nearly 12-year-old war against the Taliban-led insurgency in Afghanistan.
The airport’s military side is also used for NATO transport and other aircraft.
The cause of the explosions was not immediately clear, but fighters in Afghanistan usually carry out attacks in the early morning.
Russia Today has it.
I guess that is why Verizon has settled so many lawsuits against them for various reasons. Just remember, Obama is a Constitutional lawyer too (or claims to be).

Another reminder that Western values and Islam are not compatible. The world would be much safer if Western leaders would once again understand and accept this simple fact.
