Chauncey Wright went looking for a job and got federally indicted instead. That's the way he put it Friday after being sentenced to six months of house arrest and four years' probation for his involvement in an undercover sting being run by the ATF.
ATF agents hired Wright who has brain damage, an IQ of 54 and functions at the level of a kindergartner to work last year for their fake storefront in Riverwest. They met him outside of a Walmart and offered him a job promoting Fearless Distributing, spreading the word that the store was looking for people willing to sell guns and drugs.
Wright, 28, rode his bike all over the city, from the lakefront to Midtown and down to the south side passing out fliers marketing Fearless and helping set up deals.
Agents paid him with cigarettes, shoes and a little cash. And when they shut down their sting, they referred him for criminal charges on gun and drug counts.
Wright said he had no idea the store was a sham and that its workers were federal agents.

Wow. If true, I hope a pit bull attorney steps forward. Now is a good time for a case like this to hit the news.
Milwaukee ATF sting gets more and more outrageous
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Wisconsin interest ping list.
Chauncey Wright around the time he unknowingly worked for ATF agents.
The guy really needs a nasty-faced lawyer to rip and tear these government bow wows to pieces. Bastards !
The BATFE pays in cigarettes? I wonder if they paid taxes on them. If I ever work for the BATFE, I’d like to be paid in guns or bombs.
Holder’s using an alias?
Remember
Er that the BATFE is working on their own intrusive database of US citizens.
IQ of 54? He’s not smart enough to tie his shoes.
Words fail me at the prospect of an agency of the former United States of America actually using a man with a 54 IQ as a shill for a storefront operation.
I say ‘former’ because we are not what we once were, and if you were to question any f@cking part of the Obama government, they’d be making excuses as to why it made sense for the ATF to us this man in this manner. Damn them, damn them all.
That doesn’t men that he belongs in jail for 6 months.
Yep, it seems the only criminals that our government catches are astroturf criminals.
This is sick.
Joe Biden's IQ < 54, and most kindergartners know we have only 50 states. It's the ones running our government that have brain damage!
The ATF agents are the ones that should be going to jail, not Chauncey.
well sounds like he is about as smart as the ATF agents in this case...
That’s why I call DC the District of Criminals.
FTA:
Wright said he is glad to be out of jail and trying to learn from what happened. He said he expected it would take some time to adjust and said he could use a cigarette to calm his nerves. He never smoked before agents began paying him in cigarettes, he said.
“It makes you wonder who you can trust,” he said. “I could have been dead ... I put my life in jeopardy.”
“well sounds like he is about as smart as the ATF agents in this case...”
Sounds more like he’s supervisory material.
This is outrageous! Once again, this is Shery’s daughter, not Shery. Just one more way we can see that the radical Left really doesn’t care about who they exploit - and especially since this young man was black. They probably figured he was easy prey and used to being in trouble or some crap like that. I hope the rest of black America sees that the libs are NOT on their side. How can they be, when they support Margaret Sanger’s pet projects like Planned Parenthood, who clearly stated that her goal was to get rid of blacks because she felt they were a blight on mankind? Wake up America! We all need to stick together - people of every race. White, black, Hispanic, Native American, Asian, etc. - we are “the people”, and we only have each other now.
They are your people, Chauncey, and you should all be standing on a corner panhandling, not for dollars, but for IQ points.
