This has gone from “1 dead” to “6 dead” in VERY little time.
Where was the good person with a gun to stop the shooter? Oh...this was California. That explains it.
Some guy on CNN just said that this shows how lax gun laws in other states allowed this to happen in california.
I’m puzzled that the Los Angeles Police are handling this instead of the Santa Monica Police, or so it seems.
Santa Monica Municipal Code:
3.24.010 Firearms—Permit.
No person shall shoot or discharge within the City any gun, pistol or other firearm, or any air-gun or pistol, or spring-gun or pistol without having first obtained a written permit from the Chief of Police. (Prior code § 3500)

How convenient. Gov. Brown has a whole stack of anti-gun, ANTI-AMMO bills on his desk awaiting his signature that were just passed through the legislature last week. This will give him just the excuse he needs to sign them all. How convenient.
