OWINGS, MD -- The father of a middle schooler in Calvert County, Md. says his 11-year-old son was suspended for 10 days for merely talking about guns on the bus ride home.
Bruce Henkelman of Huntingtown says his son, a sixth grader at Northern Middle School in Owings, was talking with friends about the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre when the bus driver hauled him back to school to be questioned by the principal, Darrel Prioleau.
"The principal told me that with what happened at Sandy Hook if you say the word 'gun' in my school you are going to get suspended for 10 days," Henkelman said in an interview with WMAL.com.
So what did the boy say? According to his father, he neither threatened nor bullied anyone.
"He said, I wish I had a gun to protect everyone. He wanted to defeat the bad guys. That's the context of what he said," Henkelman said. "He wanted to be the hero."

Government schools need to be closed. Our nation’s children are being brainwashed and indoctrinated. I fear that 10 years from now, when I am entirely too old and unable to physically defend out nation, that there will only be a bunch of queer boy scouts writing strongly worded letters to the UN between sessions of fornicating in foxholes.

Calvert Country schools has always been a bit of a cesspool. When NAVAIR moved down there it raised the caliber of the students and the expectations, but the staff was as complacent and marginal as ever. Glad we got out of there.

Maybe so. The picture has been photoshopped (girl in turquoise with crying face has photoshop lines at her shoulders and neck line.) That is obvious. But no one has IDed these kids. The number of boys and girls matches or is almost the same as the number victims - total and by gender. Odd.
This is an almost lily white school. Who is the black girl in the purple pants and matching headband with her hair pulled up in a fro-bun?
Is that Anna Marquez-Greene? Who, like many, many, many of the victims RECENTLY MOVED IN.

The Navy folks come in here we welcome them, but most look down on residents of Southern Maryland as ignorant rednecks.
Many begin to love Southern Maryland and stay here to retire, many go back to wherever they came from thinking they are hurting the “caliber” by leaving. They aren’t.
Personally, I’d find that VERY revolting. . . (evil grin)
I just moved out of that he’ll hole state to FL, no taxes and I kept my job work from home now. Paid 250.00 in state and local taxes a month now I pay 0.00 so I just got a 500.00 a month raise!
