In January, Geraldo Rivera said he was thinking of running in 2014 for Sen. Frank Lautenbergs seat. Now, after the senator's passing, Gov. Chris Christie has the politically perilous task of naming a replacement.
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) needs to pick a replacement for the Garden States Sen. Frank Lautenberg, who died Monday. As many pundits note, this is a task thats fraught with political peril for Governor Christie: Pick someone deemed too liberal by conservatives, and he damages his presidential chances. Pick someone deemed too conservative by Democrats, and he damages his standing in his own blue-tinged state. Whats a shrewd, popular governor to do?
Two words: Geraldo Rivera. Or as the mustachioed news crusader would probably say it himself, Geraldo! Rivera!

Do you even have to be from the state your going to represent?
I never did understand how Hillary was able to be a Senator from New York.

Geraldo claims to be a Republican, but he is more liberal than most progressives.
That last thing the GOP Senate needs is another liberal Republican.

And Chris, if you, or one of your buds read this, call Judge Andrew Napolitano and talk him into it. That'd be a damned fine choice.

He will sell out the republican (alleged conservative) party. He ought to switch to the Rat party and get it over with.

Christie found a way -- albeit an expensive way in his cash-strapped state -- to preserve the Democrat Socialist hold on the seat without doing it himself ... ah, but he did do it himself.

Yeah; right. He'll straighten out this county and solve mysteries (like Al Capone's Vault).
Jerry Rivers is an asshole, first and foremost....he fits right in with the Democrats, as such.

Has Whorealdo apologized to the military families for his shameful acts of sedition? Or is that not relevant to the good governor?

Whoever he selects for now is just a placeholder anyway, since Cory Booker has a lock on that seat in the future election. It is NJ, after all...

Whorealdo calling himself a Republican is an even bigger joke. He’s probably more liberal than the sleazy left-wing lobbyist/Democrat combiner/Madigan-Emanuel puppet they just appointed as IL GOP Chairman.
