A classic case of MSM jujitsu. Yesterday, Darrell Issa called Jay Carney a "paid liar." So did Morning Joe today dig down to see if Issa was right? Of course not. Instead, its focus was on Issa--how he is "overreaching," "overplaying," etc. H/t NB reader Wayne T.
The quintessential statement came from Mika Brzezinski, who actually said that Issa's accusation "makes us all want to walk away and ignore" the White House scandals. It's not as if Mika & Co. needed much convincing!

Why stop at attacking Holder? It is the lackeys in gov’t and media who support that are the real dangers. Get rid of Holder, leaving the lackeys in place, and the new AG will be just as bad if not worse. Go after all of them, and don’t stop attacking them.
i thought it was in poor taste of Issa, personally. That does not make it untrue though. Maybe i’m off.
You can bet Mika would love to ignore these scandals whether Issa called Carney a liar or not.
Sorry Mika but you’ve already been doing a good job of ignoring WH scandals for several years now. Don’t blame that on Issa.
So Mika, if sparrows have feathers and can fly, that means we should completely dismiss all these scandals, right?
We know for a fact that the IRS was actually doing what Nixon was impeached for attempting to do. We have formal testimony from IRS agents that the orders to corrupt our tax system came from higher authorities in DC and not from 88 or so isolated rogue IRS agents. Mika’s loyalty to her political party must be as strong as we have always suspected if she is willing to treat this as a political game rather than finally looking for the facts and the truth.
