Maher Calls Bike Ride with Wounded Warriors ‘Nauseating,’ Compares Bush to Cleveland Kidnaper

Though he had no idea what it was, the annual “Bush Center Warrior 100K” mountain bike ride, which took place over the Memorial Day weekend, upset Bill Maher. “I guess they walked or ran or something on their prosthetic limbs,” Maher sneered about George W. Bush’s ride around his Texas ranch with 20 servicemen, “and I found this to be nauseating. I mean, first he sends them off to war to get their limbs blown off and then he has them over for a barbecue.”

Maher then equated the former President with Ariel Castro, the kidnaper who held captive multiple women for a decade and murdered their un-born babies: “This is like the Cleveland guy having a pizza party for those girls he had in his basement.”

That was too much even for panelist Neera Tandem, an architect of ObamaCare who now runs the left-wing Center for American Progress. She interjected: “Maybe that’s a little much.”

But it wasn’t too much for actress Brit Marling, who insisted: “I think you can go even farther. I think it’s sort of sadistic.”

It’s a safe bet most wounded soldiers would rather take a bike ride with Bush than Maher or Marling.

That explains Maher’s comraderie with his audience of clueless adolescents who can find humor in the plight of amputees who returned from a war. His show is a support group for people who haven’t been able to get a life.

At least there may be hope for some of the kids in his audience.

The technology that allows them to do these things is also used for people that suffer automotive and industrial accidents, and surprise birth defects.

People shouldn’t be over there losing limbs in the first place.

Yeah it is a much better idea to allow them to come to our shores in cities like say Boston.

I have done Sprint Triathlons 20K bike rides, on a racing road bike and that is no picnic.

I can't imagine 100k in the Texas heat.

I detest these leftists that say to OK Obama’s war(s) but criticize the Bush’s actions. That said I do believe that the whole/complete story of the gulf wars is yet to be told. I think there was/is a hidden agenda as to oil supplies. Such would/could of course involve relationships with the Saudis who had/have in fact no love for the USA except to sell their oil. The Saudis are set on having Sharia law in the US and many of our politicians don’t give a hoot and people like Obama even work for it.
