Physicist Ernest Moniz was sworn in last week as U.S. Energy secretary, and wasted little time laying out his priorities. Along with a major speech on energy efficiency, as well as pronouncements about nuclear power and natural gas, he issued a blunt warning to any opponents or obfuscators of climate science: The jig is up.
"Let me make it very clear that there is no ambiguity in terms of the scientific basis calling for a prudent response on climate change," he told a crowd of Energy Department employees May 21 following his swearing-in ceremony at DOE headquarters.
"I am not interested in debating what is not debatable," he added, echoing a recent survey published in the journal Environmental Research Letters ( http://www.mnn.com/earth-matters/climate-weather/blogs/study-97-of-scientists-agree-on-climate-change ) that found 97 percent of climate scientists agree about manmade global warming. "There is plenty to debate as we try to move forward on our climate agenda."
Moniz called clean energy and climate change his top policy priorities, citing them as "the real driver of my coming back" to the DOE, where he served as undersecretary in the 1990s. "We want to build on what was done by Secretary (Steven) Chu, who really changed the face of energy technology innovation at the Department of Energy," he said.

The Libtard Religion is as dogmatic as the most fundamentalist of Islamofacist whack-jobs.

He's not declaring climate change is real or not ... just telling us ... "Ain't gonn'a discuss it ... I'm taxing the shit out of you"
Someone needs to post the ancient aliens guy. This photo needs to be posted with the request for captions.
He uses the term ‘climate change’ which he has morphed over to from ‘global warming’ which he KNOWS is too discredited a term to be used. Creep.
Another idiot shows up on the scene. Only “true believers” will be appointed to such positions (DOE, EPA). Don’t let the facts get in the way of global warming’s religious dogma.
Good thing the republicans worked tirelessly to stop his appointment!
Because all physicists are climate experts. /s
Irwin Corey would have been a better choice.
Does he think we will take him seriously while he is wearing his mother’s wig?
LMAO what a buffoon.
But he is right Climate Change is not debatable. there is always climate change, and there isn’t a fugging thing we can do about it.
Of course they are.
The head of the Physics Dept once
walked into the MIT President’s office
and boasted that his staff
now thoroughly understood why Secretariat won.
Calling him on this, the Pres. asked the details.
After a gulp and pause,
the Physics Dept head said that
they modeled the horse as a sphere.
Dirt worshiper.
What we are witnessing is mass suicide. As if they are walking into the gas chambers and closing the doors behind themselves.
So if we get a Super Volcano or a couple major eruptions, you still do not want to debate the merits of cooling the planet even more ?
This guy can not possibly be a physicist. Physicists’ believe in the scientific method which in terms of AGW is a big FAIL, since none predictions have not come to pass. He is a phony!
He’s right!
The climate changes every second and has been since the begining of time!!!
I wouldn’t believe a damn thing that anyone that looks like that freak says!
Data does not matter
IDEOLOGY is my god. I will do anything, believe anything and advocate anything my god requires.
(PhysOrg.com) -- Sunspot formation is triggered by a magnetic field, which scientists say is steadily declining. They predict that by 2016 there may be no remaining sunspots, and the sun may stay spotless for several decades.
The last time the sunspots disappeared altogether was in the 17th and 18th century, and coincided with a lengthy cool period on the planet known as the Little Ice Age. Read more at: http://phys.org/news203746768.html#jCp
These people are busy issuing thousands of pages of rules and regulations oft without without even holding a public hearing. Thus affecting the very rudimentary elements of our daily lives and if not aheared to subjects the violator to whatever punishment the burueacrats have decided to dictate.
That is supposed to be the job of congress not some bureaucrat with cockamamy ideas who doesn’t even go through the “advise and consent” process . It is high time both houses in our Congress removes that ability for these assorted bureaucracies to do so .
you’re right it’s undebatable....it’s a lie
