'On his show Thursday, anchor Lou Dobbs highlighted a new study showing that four in 10 households now have female, rather than male, breadwinners. One of Dobbs' guests, Erick Erickson, called it "anti-science" and said women should not be competing for a "dominant role" in a family. "Having moms as the primary breadwinner is bad for kids and bad for marriage," Erickson continued'

The Faux News ladies show their true liberal colors by slamming Erick Erickson for telling the truth about what women's role in the home should really be. Both these closet libs need to open up their bibles and read what God said about men and women and who is to lead the family. I always knew Kelly was a liberal and suspected Van Susteren, which she confirmed with this tirate.

WOW! Megyn has gone all in with the liberal agenda! She knows as FACT that homos are just as good at raising children as straight couples!

The more these women actively work towards destroying the family, the faster the USA will implode.

There is a lot of scientific evidence that married males out produce (”work effort”) married women, single women, and even single men). Especially among low-income people, the likelihood of divorce is much higher if the woman earns as much, or more, than the man. This isn’t “male ego”-—it’s nature.

"Have these men lost their minds? (and these are my colleagues??!! oh brother... maybe I need to have a little chat with them)," she wrote on her blog. "(Next thing they will have a segment to discuss eliminating women's right to vote?)"

What a hysterical idiot.

The man should be the Bread winner ,not because he should be dominant, but because it is the male role.

I have never struggled to be dominant with my wife, she pretty much does things as she wishes to do them.

She worked for two years after we were married, the kids came along and she became a housewife. I worked one regular job and two part time jobs while she worked at home to keep the house and tend the two kids. She ruled the two kids with the wooden spoon and good morals, she never waited until I got home to punish them. We have great kids and have been married for 50 years this June.

Women today who want to be dominant don’t stay married long.
Not to any real man. Megyn looks good, but attitude is what sustains a marriage.

But did not Galatians also say that in Christ there is “no Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female?”

Also Paul says to the husbands to “love their wives as Christ loves his bride, the Church.”

Ms Kelly and Ms Van Susteren, in my opinion, are not really the best qualified to speak on this subject, being in the 1% of all wage earners in this nation, they do not know what most working women go through on the job. Something like 85% of the jobs are taken by people who come out of technical schools. The vast majority of women I know, and I know many, including my own daughters, if given a choice, would be at home with their kids. This culture does not respect men or women, and it does not respect history or science. I have done psychiatric nursing and I KNOW what I have studied and have seen. The castration of men in America is deadly, though men themselves embraced their own demise when the birth control pill came along and then, the idea that women should work outside the home just as men do was an idea they loved. What a windfall for the low information male. Sex with no consequences and she would now be pressured to go to work outside the home to help him do his duty. An aside to that is divorce which became more and more commonplace as men and women were thrown together in their jobs. In the end, both men and women are the losers as a result of all that, but not to the extent that the children are. This will all come crashing down as soon as the men are so feminized by this culture that they can no longer fight the wars and there will be wars forever. Someone will fight them and it will not be the women. Human nature does not change. Mother nature has set consequences in place for all our indiscretions and the male/female rolls are key to our eventual survival on this planet. Meghan and Greta..You are young and very full of yourselves now. You feel invincible, but, the day of reflection will come, even if nothing strikes to pull you down before that. Will you, Meghan regret that someone else is bonded much closer than you are to your children? And, Greta, will you regret not having or adopting children. I believe I am correct that you do not have children. Forgive me if I am wrong on that point. Also, are you happy to see your husband forced into your role at home and do yours kids prefer Daddy over Momma? They feel more comfortable with the person they are with the most..However, most kids prefer momma. Mother Nature set it up that way. It will not most likely be the feminized American male who will eventually rule American culture..My guess is that Mother Nature will have something to say about how all that works out. Enjoy your jobs, girls, because you will be remembered for about 15 minutes for all that when your time is passed. Your children will reap what you have sown.

I’m still wanting to know if single heads of household “breadwinners” also included those on welfare. No male role models and baby mamas who are too “busy” to raise their kids with any sense of morals are why this country is in the shape it is today. I can’t believe people are tooo stupid to see the connection.

Also Paul says to the husbands to “love their wives as Christ loves his bride, the Church.”

Exactly and wives are to obey their husbands.

Congratulations on your long marriage. I have always been in the position of “breadwinner” (I am a 52 1/2 yr old female) since:

1. my first husband wasn’t serious about marriage or family and was raised with a silver spoon in his mouth (I wasn’t—I am the elder of two girls and was always treated as the responsible “boy” of the family; my baby sister was coddled and spoiled)

2. my second husband was an alcoholic and never could hold down a job for any length of time but did enjoy “boxing” with me.

3. my current husband has a great work ethic, but we live in NY which means he pays 50% of his gross income in child support to his previously stay-at-home ex wife who is remarried to a six figure guy—ok when you make $100K a year but he makes $35K a year.

I must be doing something wrong!

But I must have done something right as well: I have raised two children successfully (my daughter is a homemaker—she saw the hell I went through trying to juggle work and home; my son in the Air Force, working and going to college)

Dr. Laura is right when she says she never met a woman who was the “breadwinner” that didn’t feel resentful about it—it’s hard not to feel resentful, particularly knowing that I will never be able to retire and have been working since 1977.

There are far more female breadwinners than ever before because of a failing economy. It is more difficult to sustain a family on one salary today than in the past. This is stone cold fact.

When both parents are working, in some cases the woman will obviously rise higher in the business world. They are just as smart as us, so why should anyone be surprised.

None of this has anything to do with morality choices being made or the Bible. Until the economy reverts back to pre-1970’s health, if that ever happens, these trends will continue.

I've lowered my expectations for retirement. I will go white trash/Galt if I have to. Live in a trailer off the grid. To me not having to go to work is retirement.

I always laugh at people that say you will get bored or they went back to work because it is better. They must have an easy job. I can't see me doing software development into my 70's. I am burned out now, some people have easier jobs than others. Can you imagine being a roofer and having to work until you drop?

I’m a teacher. I feel the same way. I love my job and I will miss doing it but I’d rather retire than stay forever. My job does not define who I am.

"Can you imagine being a roofer and having to work until you drop?"

That is the situation my husband is in right now. He does HVAC and all manners of contracting/construction work. He has eleven more years to go before his youngest child of 3 reaches 21 (it's 21 in NY not 18) and most likely he'll have to continue to pay for their college. He's 45 now and feeling his age. I do computer repair/desktop support. We already have gone "galt" in the fact that we have a house in the country (sadly on a "wetland") use a well, septic system, burn wood exclusively for heat, never eat out (that includes take out and pizza), never go on vacations. I make my own bread, yogurt, creme fraiche (sour creme) and am thinking of getting a goat. We both work 40+ hours a week and have to "go galt" because he brings home next to nothing after child support and taxes.

Most kids prefer their mother to their father?

That’s not what I’ve observed and experienced.

Law makers who have a "staff" to do all their work think life is so easy and anyone can work all the way thru senility. The legislation they produce reflects that instead of reality.

When I hear about raising the retirement age to 70 I laugh. Have you every tried to swing a hammer or crawl around an attic that is at a temperature of 130 degrees? You want 70 year old doing that?
