In what is tantamount to an admission of the abandonment of journalistic impartiality, the New York Times Public Editor, Margaret Sullivan submitted an analysis of the paper's coverage of the resurrection of Mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner's career.
In a navel-gazing column designed to explore the various ways the Times has reported on Weiner's re-entry to the political scene in New York, Sullivan compares the April Times Magazine cover story to a People Magazine puff piece on Hollywood celebrities: (emphasis added)
This kind of hard-nosed skepticism has sometimes been in short supply in recent weeks when it comes to the former congressman, who resigned in June 2011 after an online sex scandal, and in his run for New York Citys top office. Soft on Weiner, eh?
hmmm. Wonder how this particular headline got past the editor?
Versus hard Weiner coverage?
Instead of grilling his buns these MSM frauds relish him hoping to muster support so Mr. Weiner rises in the polls.

Sounds appropriate for the entire Congress, ya think?
Hmm. Navel-gazing, too. What next?
The Old Grey Lady has a fixation on Weiner. Hopes he rises to the occasion.

SOME political organization said “You didn’t get the chance to steal as much as we wanted you to, so run for Mayor. People who remember you have forgotten and the rest will vote for you. Just keep your camera under wraps.” WHEN will we throw out the dregs of Society and elect adults?
His opponent Christine Quinn is not exactly mainstream either, in that she is a lesbian with a “wife”.
One word for you......
Hillary.
And that's not even NYC.
I’m trying to muster some sympathy for the people of New York City, but it’s difficult.
