An update since my thread last night.

Some people think this is orchestrated to get us to trust the media again.

I don't really have an opinion yet other than Holder is on the way out.

Attend with a tape recorder. Publish a transcript. Wait for the IRS audit, and put that on the front page when it happens.

Lapdog rebellion? Or Media in CYA mode? Probably both.

There is a tipping point

where a democrat politician will be so deeply corrupt that even the MSM cannot protect them because they have to protect their own credibility. (MSNBC may not have a tipping point, because MSNBC doesn’t care about credibility.)

Apparantly Eric Holder has passed that tipping point for the AP, NYT and CNN. But not Politico.

But Politico posted an item on its website saying editor-in-chief John Harris plans to attend one of the meetings with Holder.

So Holder's PR department will be there.

They want this thing off the record so he can cut some sort of deal to back the media off. Probably offer up some interviews with Obama or something.

Drudge says the press revolts on Holder’s OTR meeting. I have to agree:

The press is revolting.

They should demand that C-span broadcast them. Rememebr how the MSM clamored to have the SCOTUS Obamacare debate broadcase LIVE?

Orchestrated. Fabian head fake using yet another OTR coffee klatch with their barking poodles. Holder has now established a clear, distinct, and undeniable record of lying to congress (the American people). HIs initiatives have resulted in the deaths of Mexican and American citizens, some his very own employees; and Soviet era political repression. Holder is to Obama what Felix Dzerzhinsky was to Lenin. Perjury, murder, political repression. And, soon to have total political control through Obamacare. Nobody, however, is talking about that. We're too concerned about a coffee klatch.

If he recused himself from this scandal, wouldn’t that mean he has un-recused himself?

All logic would seem to indicate that Holder is on the way out.

But I am not so sure. Obama is stubborn and overflowing with hubris. I think he sincerely believes that he is not in the wrong and can ride this out.

He also has to figure that the confirmation hearings for Holder’s replacement will be brutal and bloody, if he can get anyone confirmed at all.

Plus Holder, like Ron Brown in the Clinton Administration, knows where all the bodies are buried. So it will be very difficult to force him out if he does not want to go.

Haven’t they had “off-the-record” meetings in the past? I seem to recall one a few weeks back.

Fox just reported that the meetings will be focused on input as to how these issues should and will be handled in the future. Discussions of anything regarding the current scandals will not be permitted. So there we go, “WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE NOW”. Seems to be a theme, how do we fix it going forward, don’t waste time on the bumps in the road. Only problem is, the perps who broke the laws and got away with it are still there to break them again.
