Rep. Bob Goodlatte is leading a Judiciary Committee probe of Attorney General Eric Holder's actions regarding the targeting of reporters. And he tells Newsmax he is "very concerned" about Justice Department efforts to "harass the news media."
The Virginia Republican also reiterates his call for Holder to step down, a demand he first made two years ago during the Fast and Furious controversy.
Elected in 1992, Goodlatte has been chairman of the House Judiciary Committee since January.
Holder recently testified before the committee that targeting journalists was "not something I've even been involved in." But it's now been reported that Holder personally sanctioned a search warrant labeling Fox News correspondent James Rosen a co-conspirator in leaking national-security secrets.
In an exclusive interview Wednesday with Newsmax TV, Goodlatte discusses his probe of Holder.
"We are sending a letter today-- myself and the chairman of the Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations Subcommittee -- asking him to explain how his answers to the committee conflict with the actions that he appears to have taken with regard to Mr. Rosen, and we will withhold judgment on what the attorney general's actions constitute until we give an opportunity for him to explain himself.

Oh yeah, and we know he was in on this with Holder.
Holder almost now has the qualifications for a
DNC-Supreme Court justice nomination.
Maybe burning down some more houses with children in them,
or perhaps better maps for the terrorists entering
by the thousands through the border fenestrations,
will nail it down for the corrupt bastard who poisoned
the DOJ’s reputation for next century.
That suggests that one of them has been lying, a word that seems to be missing from the vocabulary of the Republicans on the Hill.
LOL.
The Marxist is in a fix with Holder.
I’m sure he was in on all of this with Holder.
The Marxist made it clear he hated Fox News.
Now he has to let Holder go down in flames and hope he keeps his mouth shut.
He can always pardon him, provided he remains in office, and with the gutless GOP, he likely shall.
Bring on Senator Cruz!
The right answer straight to what should be done, nonetheless. Anything else, they will have to apologize to clinton.
Right!
My dream is the Demonicrat party would go down the drain in complete shame and infamy as you said. Then when they are completely obliterated, we start an organized Tea party to split true conservatives off from the Quizling Republicans as we show how they (GOPe) aided and abetted the Demonicrat party for the past 40 years while trying to pretend to be the “conservative” choice. The Tea party would then anihilate what’s left of the GOPe/Rino party and would restore our land to what it was.
Well, I can dream- can’t I????
News for Mr. Bob Goodlatte: Democrats never resign. (the only exception I can think of is Anthony Wiener, and as shameless as he is, he is trying to re-attach his mouth to the public teat.) Dems are taken out of office only if convicted of a crime, if they die, or if they retire.
The Law Of Effect works in most areas of life. Here it is.
You generally receive more of the behavior you reward and less of the behavior you punish.
The beauty of this is that it doesn’t just apply to the person being rewarded or punished. Others see the reward or punishment, and adjust their behavior accordingly. If you want less perjury, then you punish a person who perjures himself. Especially if he is the Chief Lawman for The United States. That sends a message.
That's a pretty tall order. The Witholder knows where all of Barry's bodies are buried, including "Kenyan" ones.
I’ll say.
Thanks JimRob.
Resign and go to prison.
Anyone wanting on or off this ping list, please advise. Thanks.
Yes, and thank you.
"AG Holder's replacment is
Deval Patrick who will bring to the DO"J" the quality
assurance that he brought to the Massachusetts Drug Lab.
Our motto is 'Dookhan quality testing for the entire USA'!!!!!"
Thanks
