Republicans spend too much time complaining about liberals boycotting the advertisers on conservatives

I purchased a Moby CD about a dozen years ago before he decided he was a “political analyst.” When he spewed his uninformed assessment of President Bush and the state of the country, I quietly took the CD downstairs, grabbed a hammer, and smashed it to bits.
The rest of them, I am happy to say, I’ve never supported.
lady Gaga is not on the list.
Those people are musicians? They just spound like noisemakers to me!!!
I don’t really know Sheryl’s political opinion, but I confess I wince when I hear the interviews with some tea-party members. Mind you, they are several orders of magnitude above the interviews of Obama supporters, but still...
Johnny Too Bad by The Slickers
Walking down the road
With your pistol in your waist,
Johnny you're too bad.
Walking down the road
With your ratchet in your waist,
Johnny you're too bad.
You're just robbing and you're stabbing and you're looting and you're shooting
Now you're too bad.
You're just robbing and you're stabbing and you're looting and you're shooting
Now you're too bad.
One of these days when you hear a voice say come
Where you gonna run to
One of these days when you hear a voice say come
Where you gonna run to
You're gonna run to the rock for rescue
There will be no rock
You're gonna run to the rock for rescue
There will be no rock
Walking down the road
With your pistol in your waist,
Johnny you're too bad.

I had to go back and read it again and I must say I agree with you
Their rendition is Godspeed is amazing. But yeah, as a musician in a female fronted country cover band I put my foot down on doing any of their stuff. Being a country band we were in agreement...
Bruce Springstein..blech
Not interested in any of the people listed. Not interested in boycotts or blacklists either. Just don’t think they’re that effective.
The last time I ever paid for music was in 1997 and it was for the appropriately named Monty Python double CD, “The Final Ripoff”.
Well, except for two vinyl records. Kris Kristoferson’s latest and Hank Williams songs (lyrics only) from his notebook that had never been put to music until now.
No, because I don’t listen to that type of “music”
Just because they play reggae music? Absolutely not, unless some reggae music artist said something ridiculous like those that are mentioned in the article
very Christian of you
There are certain artists whose consistency and talent I admire but whose politics I mostly disagree with. For example Steve Earle is a great songwriter. I would never go to a rally if he were speaking nor would I purchase a concert ticket to see him. But I have seen him perform at the free Hardly Strictly bluegrass festival before in SF. He’s not getting any of my money but I am still enjoying his work.
Too bad it’s on her head.......
I listen to some of the listed artists. There are many others whose music I enjoy but whose politics I despise, James Taylor among them.
My philosophy is that these folks play the music I want when I want to hear it. They are musical lackeys. I don’t care what they think, just play the music I want— and shut up.
Nice, good album too. I remember it was on the soundtrack for “The Harder They Come”. It’s good that people remember them.
Jimmy Buffett didn’t make the cut. He’s been wastin’ away in obamaville from the get go. It’s dam shame but I remain a parakeet-head, down a click from parrot-head.
...but, but, they smoke demon weed and sing about Jah and fighting the man...how left can they get!!???
