I recall watching an episode of Archie Bunker back when it was originally being broadcast.

Phone rings. Edith answers. Archie is in his chair watching TV.

It might be one of the originals (there was a pink one and a green one -- the evil twin wore the green).

IIRC, they used a scarf-type sash that they wrapped around her mid-section to cover her navel area. That satisfied the censors without altering the costume.
