Embody claimed in court the Second Amendment gave him a right to carry firearms.
The Appeals Court disagreed, ruling that the right to bear arms is not unrestricted.

Now pistols are AK-47s?
Yes, there are AK-47 pistols. Shorten the barrel and overall length and cut off the folding stock and you have a pistol.
There is a guy in Kingsport, TN who wears a western rig every day, with a really nice Ruger single six loaded with .45 long colt. Nice rig; excellent message. The police seldom even stop him to chat anymore. I smile inwardly when I see him, and remember which pistol I’m wearing that day, concealed.
The Right to Bear Arms is, indeed UNrestricted in the Constitution. .”..”shall not be infringed” is the wording. It does not say “except for people without carry permits” nor does it say “except for people who take antidepressants” nor does it say “except for people who live in Chicago,” etc.
He had a carry permit, so I'm not sure what he was guilty of that caused him to loose it.
What is an AK-47 style pistol? Anyone? LMAO
I guess it would have been too much trouble to simply tell us what he was carrying.
It does not matter. Shall not be infringed. Does not say I have to holster it.
It all depends on how you carry. As you know, Tennessee issues a carry permit. It is better to remain anonymous though and avoid hassle.
I wasn’t charged with anything. I currently have a federal firearms license and sell machineguns and silencers.
Leonard is a known quantity. He’s been trying to get something just like this going for a while now.
Even went so far as to open carry an AK with the tip painted orange.
He’s right, in asserting his Rights, but he’s one of those people you’d rather not have out there as a Poster Boy for the cause.
And yeah, they do make a pistol-length modded AK. Ugly looking cuss...
I was addressing what the person in the article was charged with to revoke his carry permit.
So what is the meaning of “the right of the people to keep and bear arms”? If something is not covered by the meaning of those words, making that something illegal is not an infringement.
Okay, you’re the guy to ask.
What’s the deal with silencer, suppressors?
I had thought they were illegal, but I’m seeing them mentioned more these days. What’s the deal?
Will they be processing permit applications like the IRS handled Tax Exempt Applications ?
No!They will do it like they’re doing it here in Connecticut.Deliberately Slow. They always have an excuse. They don’t have enough staff, they don’t have enough money.Always an excuse to delay what is a civil right.
I hate our Governor and the Damned Connecticut State Police because they are deliberately denying people there rights under the Second Amendment.
$700 and you can have one too...
That is not required at FR.
I doubt I could in California, what with that pistol grip.
Thanks for the link. Looks like I was wrong on this one.
I’m not sure I’d want to own that.
If you’re around East Tennessee, freepmail me. I’m shopping for a good 9mm suppressor.
Under 27 inches total length, no shoulder stock or foregrip extension, and a barrel under 12 inches (in Tennessee).
On the range, they are extremely obnoxious. The muzzle blast is concussive. Same for shorty AR pistols.
Accuracy suffers a lot, but for a short range “up close and personal” defense weapon... They have their place.
I don’t own one. No need for yet yet.
