On Wednesday, Deputy CIA Director Mike Morrellalong with CIA officers who were at the Agencys Benghazi base on the night of the attacktestified at a classified hearing before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. In the closed hearing, according to U.S. officials with knowledge of the proceedings, Morrell was asked by Republican members about how the second wave of attackers knew to go to the CIA annex, which was a mile away from the diplomatic mission. Morrell responded that at this point the CIA did not know whether the attackers had known the location of the annex or learned about it on the evening of the attack, according to these sources.

My first guess would be the White House.
I've been out of the loop last few days, but this is the first time that I have seen in print that a Special Operations team flew in that night from Tripoli. My understanding was that Woods and Doherty (X Seals) were already there. My assumption is that they were attached to the CIA facility from the beginning. Did I miss something?
I remember a game room posting on the Internet by Sean Smith on 9/11/12 that said ‘in case we die tonight, there are members of our Libyan security team taking pictures inside the compound’ (paraphrase). They knew they were sitting ducks. But it was important for the Bamster to claim Al Qaeda was ‘decimated’. He also wanted the Libyans to know we trusted them........
I believe this was known. My memory is that it was a small team, maybe two men?
But not Woods and Doherty?
2 additional men?
First, one team of reinforcements had already been dispatched from Tripoli the night before and was at the CIA annex at the time the second attack occurred at 5:15 a.m. The special ops team mentioned in Hicks' testimony would have been the second team dispatched. More importantly, according to Hicks the Libyan C-130 that would have carried the second team to Benghazi left the Tripoli airport "sometime between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m." The second and final attack had taken place an hour earlier. In other words, the second team would have arrived in Benghazi several hours after the second attack and could not have offered any assistance.
That statement does not tie with the above statement.
Anyone who has Benghazi info to file, please contribute on that thread

wsj timeline indicates team from Tripoli arrived a 0100 Benghazi time
If I had to take a shot in the dark, I’d say February 17 Martyr’s Brigade.
I am not clear on how many men were on the team that arrived from Tripoli at 0100 or 0115.
Q: So you had mentioned that the first team from Tripoli to Benghazi arrived at 1:15?
A: Right.
Q: And was there a second team that was organized? Could you tell us about the second team?
Greg Hicks interview with committee in April
Good question.
But another good question: Who leaked this info from a classified hearing?

Good morning. To honor your 1,000th post, Jay Carney has Tweeted that in lieu of buying him birthday gifts, he is requesting that his friends make donations to FR instead.
That’s great, Ken. Not seeing that Jay-Bob is giving a briefing today, though. Perhaps the Friday document dump will have to suffice.
