First, one team of reinforcements had already been dispatched from Tripoli the night before and was at the CIA annex at the time the second attack occurred at 5:15 a.m. The special ops team mentioned in Hicks' testimony would have been the second team dispatched. More importantly, according to Hicks the Libyan C-130 that would have carried the second team to Benghazi left the Tripoli airport "sometime between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m." The second and final attack had taken place an hour earlier. In other words, the second team would have arrived in Benghazi several hours after the second attack and could not have offered any assistance.
That statement does not tie with the above statement.
