A British soldier was decapitated a few hundred yards from a UK Army base by two men with large knives and saying ‘ we swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you’. The men were shot when police responded 20 minutes later. The photo above shows a scene.
This is the dramatic moment a woman appears to remonstrate with a man carrying a knife following a brutal attack in Woolwich.
The two alleged attackers are thought to have waited around for 20 minutes until Metropolitan Police officers arrived and then tried to attack them – but were swiftly shot by armed policemen, including a woman.
Remonstrate. Now there’s a word to conjure with. The Telegraph describes the behavior of the onlookers. The attackers asked the crowd to take their photo, which they apparently did.
“There was only a few people at first then traffic began to build up because people were getting out of their cars to shout at them they were taking no notice, they were standing there, I think they were proud of what they were doing.
“When they dumped the body in the road, these two black guys had the opportunity to hurt other people if they wanted to because there were brave women with the dead guy on the floor, they were shielding and covering him. The attackers with the knives were standing over these women.
“The guy with the gun, the tall guy with the beanie cap on, even a bus had pulled up – he was going over to the bus and asking people to take his photo.”
Then the men allowed only women to come forward to succor the dead or dying man......

What's amazing is that it took 20 minutes for the cops to show up. UK cops are normally unarmed. Perhaps the delay was because nobody could remember the combination to the gun lockers.
Fighting? How many male Brits were there in those 20 minutes? And they didn’t do squat. Zilch. NOTHING.
Fighting with swords? They could have been armed with blasters and light sabers, and nothing would have been different.

The press interviewed a man in Boston who said that he had been hiding under a bed with his wife and kids during the hunt for Speed bump and Baby Bomber. He sounded like he thought it was a perfectly normal thing for a man to do.

I don’t think it works that way - that the ordinary cops are ever issued firearms. I believe they would have to call out special armed police squads.

You’re absolutely right; for decades most American men have accepted that a less-qualified black, Hispanic, or women should be permitted to take their seat in a college or a job.
After that is addressed I’ll care about Muslims.

Unwise would probably be a better word than stupid, courage though often demands that rational thinking and wisdom be thrown out the window.
If men are men only when they have guns, we’re in pretty sorry shape.
And you have to have the moral certainty to actually use the gun, and I doubt that they would have done that, either.
The soldier was dead, beheaded. The women put their lives at risk. The Muslims were armed. Sometimes the best thing to do is stay out of trouble.
They did look like maybe they could be taken down more easily after the attack which looks like it wore the speaker out. He might have been amped up and more ferocious during the attack, but he looks vulnerable after it.
Still the Muslims had superior arms to the civilians. Guy with a baseball bat fights a guy with a knife, the guy with the knife usually wins.
