Rhode Island Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse has apologized for remarks Monday in which he linked Oklahoma "cyclones" to climate change while berating Republicans for their stance on the issue -- around the time a massive tornado killed dozens in that state.
. . .
During Whitehouses 15-minute speech, he criticized Republicans who dispute the concept of climate change while seeking federal assistance following disasters.

Not accepted.
No, not accepted. What is it these days where jackasses can say something rude, crude, offensive and just plain stupid then thinks it makes it all better by saying I’m sorry.
Sorry is right but apology not accepted. He is an ass and always will be one.
A fool would call disaster aid welfare. Disaster aid is given to first responders, to fix roads, etc. Yes, plenty is meant to help people, but blame Congress for the pork they add in. My my, I do hope you are in need of help one day and there is no one there.
Chris Plante (WMAL in DC) spent nearly his entire 3 hour show this morning on Whitehouse’s speech.
So was Cal. Boxer...She said “the Tornados were all about Climate Change”.
No passes for either of the dim-wits..none.
lolol....
screw you, this is B/S yet again a Dem can just say sorry and we all move on to the minds of the corrupt media who tell us they’re not biased.
This whole country is corrupt, starting with the left who have no problem with the corruption done by their media
I understand that’s exactly what happened...thus the apology...
He's got that typical soft, flaccid, weak liberal face.
Wouldn't ya just love to smash a big lemon cream pie covered with meringue squarely into that girlie mug?
Leni
Since real men like John Adams died, the place has gone downhill.
Actually, I would like to be locked in a room with him for about 10 minutes. He wouldn’t have much of a soft, flaccid, weak liberal face left.
I was just short of 9 when our house in Louisville, Ky was about two-thirds destroyed by the April 3, 1974 tornado. As the tornado approached, my Dad with adrenaline, flipped over a couch with two adults and four children on it. As the tornado approached it sounded like a train and then as it passed by it sounded like a train running over the house.
My Dad, a carpenter, rebuilt the house even better and then we sold it and moved to a better one in a better section of town. As the Scripture basically says, “All things work together for good for those who love God (Rom 8:28).
Never waste an opportunity to dance on the bodies of children for political gain.
It’s what the left does. Maybe you could drag a few grieving parents to DC for show and tell to hide behind as you spew your marxist agenda ... you know, take a page out of Obama’s playbook.
Why do democRATs feel the need to apologize for their rhetoric? I never do.
thank you
His rant on global warming was while school children drowning in OK. This guy is frickin’ evil.

Can you imagine the hellish terror those poor children endured. I can’t. I can’t wrap my mind around it for fear of having a breakdown. My God they were grade schoolers. And this jerk was on the floor of the Senate attempting to score political points while they were drowning. I wrote his govt. website and told him to rot in hell. And I’m not sorry for it.
The idiot even threw in “acidic oceans in Oregon.” There are no acidic oceans here or anywhere else. We have some of the healthiest oceans in the world. What a loon.

Back in 1955 Hurricanes Connie, then Diane 1 week later absolutely devastated the South. My old hometown of Port Jervis, NY, while not directly hit by these storms was practically underwater, like many areas of the northeast. The “seasoned citizens” who live there remember those days all too well. In 1921 Tampa was leveled by a hurricane directly hitting the city.
So lets get one thing straight. This coward hasn’t apologized to anyone. However, he very bravely sent a spokesman out to do it for him.
