In progress. As I am writing this, they are just doing opening remarks.
Burr:
What actions did you take?
Miller - talked to Cincy people...blah, blah.
You’re right.
Idiots.
Shulman is a disgrace today. He was/is playing for Team Kenya. That will be problematic since he is a Bush appointee.
And we all know how much Bush, Rove and other main stream GOP'ers supported the Tea Party.
Yes! And give him all the time from the other Rebubs! Let him go no for an hour or hours!
Yep, aside from Cruz, senators don’t cut it.
on
Perhaps they are simply not going to devuldge too much until they go after the main characters .......which would ultimately be this administration.
Did we learn ANYTHING from this hearing? I say, not a thing, a complete waste of time and money to even turn the A/C and lights for them.
The Senate being what it is, I would imagine there is an effort to keep a new senator like Cruz off of important committees and limit his influence.
The Senate is worthless to conservatives, think they would still be just as worthless even with a Republican majority.
I was once involved in dueling corporate litigation subpoena process. I was constantly frustrated by the questions from the attorney we hired. When we had the ability to catch them in a lie, he would let it go. He told me there were two reasons for doing this. One is that he rather expose the lie during a trial. Second, is he did not want the other side to know what he knew.
Shulman is and was a Dem. Bush was being “bipartisan,” thinking he was appointing him to a non- political position.
Yes. We learned that Steven Miller is now wearing Depends whenever he testifies.
Don't be too quick too judge. Wait for analysis of what was said, discrepancies discovered and/or light shed, to raise even more questions.
Miller looked as if he was about to blow a gasket, while doodling ferociously. And it's becoming obvious to me, we're starting to see cracks developing in their attempt to contain this.
Yep, they just don’t know how to go for the throat.
Judiciary, Commerce, Armed Services, Rules...
Those are his committee assignments.
They are very plum assignments.
He’s also on several subcommittees.
Here’s a truism, though.
Not even Ted Cruz can be everywhere at once, and there will be committees he is not on.
Maybe in 2014 we can send him help and I don't mean more Rino help.
Technically, he was an Obama appointee. The IRS commissioner is an appointed position. When Bush left office, all political appointees, including all Ambassadors, must submit their resignation. Obama elected to keep Shulman on the job and reappointed him.
Shulman may have, initially, been a Bush appointee, but there is some talk that Shulman contributed to the Dems and Obama. Hagel and LaHood are Reps.
The left loves to remind everyone that the former IRS commissioner was a Bush appointee, because somehow this makes it OK that his IRS office abused power to criminally target conservatives. For a party that loves to blame Bush, they sure love signing off on everything Bush did and then maximizing it times eleventy. Shulman may have been a Bush appointee, but he was an Obama donor:
Shulman donated $500 to the Democratic National Committee in 2004.
So lets start calling him Democrat supporter Doug Shulman. All this shows is that Bush wasnt an ideological bigot. Great gotcha there, progressives.
