Even in the conservative press, it has become received wisdom that President Obama was AWOL on the night of September 11, after first being informed by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, in the late afternoon, that the State Department facility in Benghazi was under attack. You hear it again and again: While Americans were under attack, the commander-in-chief checked out, leaving subordinates to deal with the crisis while he got his beauty sleep in preparation for a fundraising campaign trip to Vegas.
That is not true . . . and the truth, as we’ve come to expect with Obama, is almost surely worse. There is good reason to believe that while Americans were still fighting for their lives in Benghazi, while no military efforts were being made to rescue them, and while those desperately trying to rescue them were being told to stand down, the president was busy shaping the “blame the video” narrative to which his administration clung in the aftermath.
We have heard almost nothing about what Obama was doing that night. Back in February, though, CNS News did manage to pry one grudging disclosure out of White House mendacity mogul Jay Carney: “At about 10 p.m., the president called Secretary Clinton to get an update on the situation.”

So if I were investigating Benghazi, I’d be homing in on that 10 p.m. phone call. That’s the one between President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — the one that’s gotten close to zero attention.--

We won’t begin to make progress until the survivors are on television telling their stories. IMO that’s why Carney is so desperate to characterize this as a “manufactured scandal that fell apart.” If they can keep the survivors out of the news, they win . ( Obama has actually recovered lost ground this week in Gallup tracking poll.)

The other side doesn't care what their leftist heroes do wrong. They only care that they win. Ignore the polls and keep pushing for the truth. If the truth doesn't matter, then we have no nation left and it doesn't matter what the polls say anyway.
I’m more likely to believe their actions - or inactions - were politically motivated. O had spent months building the narrative that Al Qaeda had been defeated.. Imagine the ramifications if - 7 weeks before a tight election - that story got blown up?
Why, O may have lost the election!
That’s why it wasn’t laziness. Obama,Clnton, Rice etc...their responses were 100% politically motivated.

Is there anyting to the rumor that a fake kidnapping of our ambassador was planned and in exchange, some arab terroist being held by the U.S. would get our man back. When the kidnapping “plan” began, our security forces resisted, believing the embassy was under attack. Once the resistance began, all hell broke loose and people were being killed. Supossedly, it just plain got out of control (nothing unusual for this administration)....
Anyone know anything about that? Certaionly would be major blow to both Odumbo and Clinton’s future if it were true.
I agree, but it was actually the economy that toppled Nixon. For a feww days, early in the week, Obama was dropping; then he recovered after “firing” the IRS guy. I think it’s all based on morning radio headlines, but you’ve gotta
get some momentum going in the right direction.
Saying he was AWOL is to Obama’s benefit. Last fall Col. Dave Hunt and Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer were on Fox with Jeanine Pirro. They said we had video from two drones and that it was watched live in about fifteen different places within the U.S. government as it happened, including the White House situation room. They said that because this was the fourth U.S. installation that had been attacked the entire defense apparatus of the U.S. government was watching the attack as it happened. Lt. Col. Shaffer went on to say that his sources said that Obama watched the attack live.

BO claimed he was informed of the situation around 5PM. He claimed he had Panetta handle it. I don’t believe he ever acknowledged the 10PM call. I am not sure if he ever denied this call occurred. Any FRpeers know if BO denied this call at some point. That would be more important than the content of the call. IMHO.
There was a White House meeting including the president at 7:30 as well. We had pictures of that meeting earlier this week. Lew looked grim.
We need a rich billionaire to offer a million each to any survivor who comes foreword. They really can’t be intimidated after what they went through unless they’re cowards.
That piece of garbage NEEDS to account for what he was doing after 5pm.

If I got caught skipping out on my job or sleeping on my job, I’d be fired.
If I got caught neglecting my job while something horrific happened, I’d lose my job and probably be prosecuted as well.
“Going to sleep”. Is sometimes used to describe folks that have passed out.
Did he take sleeping meds ?
