I’m not worried about it effecting gun control laws....I’m worried about it effecting gun ownership!

There is another worry here. In recent years, presidents have tried to avoid the senate completely by declaring that “treaties are not treaties”, but just “agreements” or another such euphemism, that do not require senate approval, even though they have the force of treaties.
In other words, they have been cheating, mostly for the cause of internationalism. They figure that after the US has been party to the “non-treaty” long enough, it will be too much hassle to withdraw from it.

Many of us have been on to this for a long time and this treaty is toxic with enough dims to keep it from ever getting out of committee. China, Iran, North Korea and Russia have stated that they will NEVER sign it. This is just communist bravado... like they used when they tried gun control etc.
