There are many, many more examples of these "Limbaughisms" through the years. Looking at these comments makes you wonder why it took so long for advertisers to wake up and smell the bigotry.
The writer then compares him to Don Imus and says he'll never be the same to end his liberal fantasy.
The liberals are rejoicing in the comments. Have a look at this typical liberal comment:
Sadly for the Republican party, Rush Limbaugh (like Hannity, O'Reilly, Palin, Beck, etc.) epitomizes how radical the Republican party has become. All share an 1800's mentality which shockingly, people are gullible enough to believe. Most GOP politicians are too spineless to challenge the extremist viewpoints of these people, thus their viewpoints are now mainstream in the GOP. And they wonder why they are becoming known as "the party of stupid"?
I thank God every day that I’m part of the “1700’s”
mentality and respect where and when the Idea of
freedom took root.
“he infamously called law student Sandra Fluke a “slut” and a “prostitute”
Did he really? Or is this just another distortion?
Limbaugh has orders of magnitude more listeners than CNN has viewers.
LLS
What else would one expect from the COMMUNIST NEWS NETWORK?
Judging by THEIR ratings, I think they should worry about their own filthy house.
I truly think that if Limbaugh had a dip in his following, it was when he was embraced by the Republican mainstream, and he made two very bad mistakes.
First, he decided to “moderate” his views. Before then, he used sharp-tongued savagery to lash into scoundrels from feminist abortionists to corrupt politicians. He was willing to “call a femiNazi and femiNazi.” When he stopped doing that, he lost a lot of edge.
Second, instead of going after anyone and everyone who fouled up, he embraced the Republican party platform as a baseline, instead of what the rank and file conservatives wanted. Again, this cost him a lot.
Time-Lies-Warner-Turner-CNN.
They have ZERO relevance in my life (news, publishing, information, entertainment).
There may be “legacy” recordings they own (film, television, music) from decades past but they are already available USED in the marketplace and do not earn them a dime on resale.
Every once in awhile when I hear him lean too much to Romney or Rubio...I start to wonder but after a little time Rush always comes through it. He is just human. He thinks it through and is way too good to be fooled for long. He is still “Da Man”.
From what I hear, Obama thinks he is still relevant.
He talks about himself too much. He’d be relevant if he’d get back to politics and be a little more up to date on his discussions - very often, everything will have changed since he did his “show prep” (if he even does it) and he appears to be unaware of it. Also, he often seems to misunderstand the callers.
So I think he’s coasting, and that’s why listenership has dropped.
Obama seems to think so.
What’s this CNN thing?
Another Alinsky Style hatchet job. Not unexpected.
You notice the lead in is a social media hook about “Mad Men”? CNN wouldn’t pull half of Fox News audience Tonight even if they could show Angelina’s boobies.
LOL, sounds like he's more relevant than ever -- he's really p-o'ing this screedsome stooge. I think that's wonderfully relevant, and evidence that the Maharushie is getting the job done where it counts! -- in their pointy little heads!
Logic check, girls. If these radio hosts "[a]ll share an 1800's mentality" ......
Then how "radical" can they possibly be?!
Sounds like they're sticking to principles, and that that is creating a problem for the guys whose metier is ideological drift, a.k.a. dragging the People to the Left.
FAIL.
He’s much more relevant than CNN
