And they're off: With no defined field of candidates and the last election just six months in the rearview mirror, American Crossroads on Sunday aired the first attack ad of the 2016 presidential campaign, panning Hillary Clinton for her role in the "cover-up" of an attack last Sept. 11 on a U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.
The 90-second paid spot - manufactured by the Karl Rove-founded "super PAC" - was posted Friday online and ran Sunday morning on CBS during a broadcast of "Face the Nation." Previewing the ongoing saga that's likely to haunt Clinton's White House ambitions...

...Rove’s money raised will be used against Conservatives in 2014”.
I am SOOO done with ROVE. He ranks up there with the $^&#@ Grover Norquist, etc. They are NOT conservatives. Rove has become a legend in his own mind, found a way to garner $$$ out of this political game, has fooled us one too many times. Fools us once........ blah blah.
DONE with Tokyo Rove. He is the enemy too.
Rove can’t raise money by bashing conservatives.
Rove can’t raise money by pimping amnesty.
So how is he going to pay his bills?
By trotting out Hitlery Clinton...
And here is the A-List of 13 VERY winnable seats to focus upon .....
Mark Begich (D-AK)
Mark Pryor (D-AR)
Mark Udall (D-CO)
Tom Harkin (D-IA)
Mary Landrieu (D-LA)
Carl Levin (D-MI)
Al Franken (D-MN)
Max Baucus (D-MT)
Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH)
Kay Hagan (D-NC)
Tim Johnson (D-SD)
Mark Warner (D-VA)
Jay Rockefeller (D-WV)
YEP, and you forgot:
Lindsay Graham R-SC
:)
something about stopped clocks and twice a day comes to mind....
I wish that list would also include Lamar Alexander, RINO-TN. He needs to go also.
The list is by no means exclusive ......
I’m getting a visual of Rove with his “whiteboard”.
everything scratched out except.... go after “what difference at this point does it make” Hillary.
His nose is growing.
Even 2014...it’s too early for ads..imo.
The best thing to do now is not let the investigations look partisan, because they aren't.
Taking a page from the democrats 2012 campaign book.
Define the opposition candidates early before they do it themselves.
Hitlery is unbelievably damage goods. If a nation elected her to ANYTHING it deserved to be taken over by Zimbabwe..
Good for them.
Yup.
Agreed. Still it is nice to see Rove on the right side of an issue.
Finally.
I think I have the most established anti-Rove cred anywhere, but I must disagree with you on 1.5 of your two points. On fund raising: perhaps, but just because something is self serving, it doesn't necessarily disqualify it as a good thing. It is for fund raising, but this is a good things.
But MORE IMPORTANTLY: there is no no no no no way we won't be accused of being partisan. So what? They'll ALWAYS accuse us of "jumping up and down and screaming" (what Beschloss said this weekend) - regardless of how we tip toe into something. Thus, we might as well let her rip, because we'll be accused of that anyway.
Primary all RINOs and hang DeathCare, the next Holocaust, around the necks of every RAT starting NOW for the campaigns in 2014 and 2016!! And, shut down voter fraud!!!
With due respect, I submit that your hatred of Rove (understandable) is clouding your take on this. It is NEVER too early for ads. The reason we get beat is because we try and fight a full time war as if it is a temporary campaign. Face it, one problem with big government is that by definition, we are ALWAYS in campaign season. It's not a good thing, but we darn well better recognize it.
Winner! Too soon. The Dems will continue to surround Hillary with their protection and misdirection.
If you’re interested ping.
