Geraldo Rivera said Friday that his sources tell him the U.S. was involved in a secret mission in Libya to arm the Syrian rebels, which was the reason for the initial secrecy about the attack in Benghazi.

Im not seeing your point RE: Rivera / McCain. The former is a mouthpiece. He has the reputation of a showman / huckster as well. So? I repeat my question: Who else has raised the issue of running guns to the Syrian jihadis?
Yes, he is seen as a mouth-piece, he has the reputation of a showman / huckster..., but who sees him that way? Everyone? I would submit no, not everyone. He is seen that way by savvy people on the right. The people on the Left see him as someone who more closely mirrors their beliefs, especially on matters like illegal immigration, other Leftist policy, and support for Obama. So here he does what? Why he raises an issue that gives cover for Obama using subterfuge. He's not merely saying there's a cover-up. He's saying there was a cover-up, and he's providing a reason why that cover-up was in our national interest. He's not doing the nation a favor here. He's still carrying water for the Leftists/Marxists.
Yes, sure, he introduces a topic nobody else is talking about. And then he devalues that information by using it for Leftist cover. He didn't do you or our cause any favor here. Please be clear on that.
That, in no way indicates I believe he is trustworthy. My default on that is, I believe in Psalm 140.
It's my thought that Obama with Heraldo's support, is more likely to bring us to serious nation threatening conflict that any president we've had. Perhaps Psalms 140 applies with regard to that.
McCain has always presented to me as a half bright, spoiled from privilege, legacy inheritor with no core. I never hear him utter a word but Insincerity flashes in my mind. I remain mystified about how this hollow man gets so much attention.
Some kids from privilege do pretty good. Others like McCain make a decision early in life, and stick with it throughout their life. He was born of privilege. He acted out from his earliest youth on. He loved to fight in grade-school. He liked to inflict pain on the other kids. He was a frivelous lout at the Naval Academy, and in his early military service. Everything centered around John McCain, and his pleasure. He didn't take his service to our naiton seriously, the parts we know about prior to Vietnam. It's very hard for me to think he took that seriously either. The fact he got shot down may or may not related to his cavalier attitude. It's hard for me not to give that consideration though. His record as a Congressman and Senator is very soiled. All the time we've been able to observe his activity in the light of day, he's been a major screw-up.
He gets the full court treatment by the press, because he's their go-to enabler, running more water for the Left than most U. S. Citizens have any clue he does.

Well, that settles that, Geraldo says it. Now I know it was not about running missiles.

I appreciate those comments and the thought behind them. I will say this about Geraldo, At least he’s not Chris Matthews. And full disclosure - We get his talk show here 9-12 or some such and I have it on occasionally.
Perhaps I grasp at straws, but like Luke and Darth, I “feel” perhaps there is some good in the guy - that he is not totally given to the Dark Side.

That’s okay Don-o. I honestly can’t remember Heraldo holding a decent opinion on something for years now. I will admit I don’t catch his show and have not followed him. When I stumble across him, I’m always coming away with the idea he just ran interference for a leftist or a leftist cause.
I may miss some of the good things, so I’m not going to take anyone to task for not seeing it my way with regards to him.
Take care...

” He was a frivelous lout at the Naval Academy,”
Bottom 10% of his class at Annapolis.
” He was born of privilege”
And later married into one of the most profitable Budweiser distributorships in the country. Worth 150-200 million.
” He gets the full court treatment by the press, because he’s their go-to enabler, running more water for the Left than most U. S. Citizens have any clue he does. “
Some of us have a clue : )

Hey, DO. Best regards to you.
And I cannot forgive McLousy for betraying the POWs/MIAs or his treatment of their families in 1992.
Hugging the North Vietnamese colonel who tortured him was the last straw.

He graduated 894th out of 899 classmates.
The very first item at that link reveals he graduated in the bottom 0.556% of his class. 99.444% of his class did better.
Only five chumps found a way to do worse.

I know, and it is very frustrating, to put it mildly.

‘arent real big fans of WHOREaldo..’
I would have more faith in this story if the source wasn’t the crack head that WHOREaldo was sharing the pipe with.

The part that makes that even more powerful, the bill had essentially been dissed, and was ready to be ash canned. In steps McCain in his Senatoral capacity, and single-handedly saved it and drove it through.
I forget the exact dynamics now, but there is a stipulation you can use, to save a bill with just one Senator’s support. He did it.
He did it against the MIA groups, the families, the Veterans... it was vintage John McCain. And John didn’t shy away from trashing special interest peoples and their advocates. There’s video of one such advocate getting blistered by this jackass on the floor of the Senate.

What makes it this frustrating, is that there are plenty of grounds to change that if only we had a few Republicans with a spine these days.

Yep. Cruz alone won’t help much. Boehner & McConnell might as well be on Obama’s payroll. Both should be screaming bloody murder after the hearings disclosures.

My problem with any of our leaders is where they stand on immigration reform. We don’t need reform. We need enforcement. So when a guy tries to score points with me based on him denying citizenship, the message is totally lost.
We should be employing 40 million more people in our nation. Part of the problem, is that we allow in cheap labor from Mexico. We also move jobs offshore.
Any leader that can’t grasp the negative impact of allowing citizens of another nation to stay here, is not a person up to speed enough for me to support in any fashion.

These corrupt “comprehensive immigration reform” politicians have been financed, and bought off to tout this amnesty. Another amnesty will bankrupt the country, and makw Democrats the Ruling Party. These politicians aren’t stupid, just evil.

The question is, knowing this, will Rivera publicly challenge his fellow liberals to come clean on reporting the story? Will Rivera acknowledge that his buddies are demonstrating no value system if they allow this cover-up to continue?
