When it became clear last fall that the CIAs now discredited Benghazi talking points were flawed, the White House said repeatedly the documents were put together almost entirely by the intelligence community, but White House documents reviewed by Congress suggest a different story.
ABC News has obtained 12 different versions of the talking points that show they were extensively edited as they evolved from the drafts first written entirely by the CIA to the final version distributed to Congress and to U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice before she appeared on five talk shows the Sunday after that attack.

Oops...
And the RNC and Romney were not man enough to stand up to it.
ABC? Are there cracks forming in the wall?
Romney did stand up to it and got hammered by the media.
Stephen Hayes article regarding this:
http://www.weeklystandard.com/articles/benghazi-scandal-grows_722032.html
“ABC News has obtained 12 different versions of the talking points.............”
Old cliches: “Talk’s cheap.”, and “Action speaks louder than words.”
Just thinkin’ about their “talking points” versus their actions, or lack thereof, and the results of both.
The Hayes article is interesting on its face, for sure, but it makes one begin to wonder now how quickly Patreaus was shown the door (ala his little tryst).
Did they perhaps think he may come forward?
Tragically, a lot of people here decided Romney did the right thing by mentioning it once and then FOLDING to the media’s outrage.
Speaker of the House worthy, perhaps, but not the Presidential in-your-face SMACK DOWN the Fraud-in-Chief deserves for his hatred of America and all we stand for.
I wonder why there is no ABC byline. Maybe that’s the norm for ABC. Since I ignore most mainstream news these days I have no idea how they operate.
Those first two sentences, are extremely obligated to lying.
Annnnnnd the first dinosaur media outlet begins to discover the eight month-old story.
Well, in fairness here... the machinations pertaining to those talking points weren't fully known by the Repubs at that point, and Romney did attack the subject in the second debate... problem is, the "moderator" (yeah, right), Candy Crowley took Obama's side.
-——ABC News has obtained-——
Hmmm.... ABC news?
Do they smell blood on the water or is this prelude to more cover up.?
——Did they perhaps think he may come forward?-——
I think you have the tense wrong. Perhaps the statement should read “Do they perhaps think he may come forward?”
“Did they perhaps think he may come forward?”
I would say that’s likely. It’s what they do.
If the documents were created in MS Word, I would love to have been able to look at the metadata. hee hee hee
Sounds like the MSM is throwing Hillary under the bus.
Lie and lie after lie.
Notice in this piece how Nuland is pinned as the scapegoat at State. The only veiled reference to Clinton is this:
These changes dont resolve all of my issues or those of my buildings leadership, Nuland wrote.
I am not sure that is correct.
I think some in the CIA might be behind the info getting out.
