Amen. I’m tired of non Carolinians telling us how to vote as though they don’t have their own mess and most of them worse than us! Sanford will vote conservative.
To: mtrott
they voted Barney Frank, Gerry Studds, The Swimmer, Robert Byrd, Bill Clinton, JC Mayor Healy ( google him), so many more no need to list :)

SC yet again shows their own voting ways and their own views, good for them.
A win against socialists, communists and Obama which he is one is a win for us, thank you SC

The best we can hope for is that this irresponsible "conservative" piece of garbage helps to derail the Obama agenda.
Hopefully he won't disappear from his office to attend to his personal inter continental romantic issues when important votes come up..

What do you base that charge on? Sanford is a conservative, you have no basis to post that garbage. Do you know his record as our governor? I gave you more credit than that.
To: nickcarraway
you know I never get many of your posts , but do you prefer the socialists to have won this seat instead?
It was Sanford or a socialist and Obama and you are coming across to me as you would rather see us lose.
now I am probably wrong in what I;ve said but it does comes across as you don’t seem happy they lost

A good question. But then, look at so many of our “supposed” conservative stalwarts... Rubio pushing amnesty, Paul Ryan embracing homo adoption, Toomey join with the Dems for gun registration. And these were supposed to be good, solid conservatives! The ones we could count on, when the chips are down. Well, now this embarrassing flake Sanford is added up there into the Washington mix.
I don’t recognize anything anymore. America. The GOP. The culture. Probably just time to retrench, and say to hell with it all. I have an idea my voting days are all but over. Just no point in it.
To: Arec Barrwin
I was prepared to give him my vote in 2008 for president-until he turned out to be a head case. Oh well, hope still springs eternal. This is one Californian who still wishes a bright future for Senator Sanford.

Until his weird meltdown,...
Have you noticed that all of the conspiring journalists' stories, without letup, even today and tonight, always recount the official narrative of what happened to Sanford and what he did during that time? Have you noticed the constancy of buzzwords related to Sanford in the news? Like Argentine mistress, Appalachian Trail, and other such references kept alive by other posters on this thread.
Not many posters here tonight seem to doubt the yarn told by the SCGOPe, the Dems, and the willing pretenders holding jobs in journalism. Odd that some FReepers have swallowed this bait and have been so easily hooked. Now, what if it turns out one day that the story was not told straight? What then? Well, no worries; not many on this FR thread seem to give much support Mark Sanford the conservative politician anyway.
But, in spite of incidents that sometimes call it into question, I still believe that FR remains a website for conservatives.

it’s great news , why are you not happy , would you rather see the socialist win instead?

Good job SC. Not the perfect candidate, but I'll take a win over a loss anytime. We need those votes. Let's just take this win quietly to the bank, and get on with the business of b-slapping Obangi.

Another RINO scumbag. Now Primary his ass.
*************************************************
RINO? RINO? You do know that saying it's so doesn't make it so, don't you? And you'll only convince a microscopically small minority of the FReeper community by claiming he's a RINO—most FReepers aren't among the low-information voter crowd. Sanford will be among the most conservative members of the Congress and a welcome reinforcement to the Tea Party caucus.
To: SMGFan
Ha, ha. Your from NJ. We’ll vote him in and still be better off than your state.

To: manc
yet again the elitist establishment refused to help him and just sat there not bothered seeing a socialist win the seat.
I think, had I lived there, I would have very reluctantly voted for Sanford.
However, I'm not going to criticize those who decided to sit it out. There's an added benefit that he basically won on a shoestring budget, while the Dems and their auxiliaries (Unions, other activist groups) poured an ENORMOUS amount of $$$ into trying - unsuccessfully - to defeat him.
Even if Colbert-Busch won, the costs involved wouldn't have been worth the return on investment (one House seat that would likely go back to the Republicans in 2014). However in losing (and by close to 10 points) all they really did was flush their money down the drain.
To: Resettozero
typical carpet baggers, they need to go back north and understand the south has no problem with Yankees but when you come down here and start bringing your liberal yankeee, this is how we did it up north crap then they can take a flying leap from a bridge on I95 or get on the highway and head back north.
Right to work, less unions, more freedom, less taxes and tradition and traditional families, men are men and women go with men , shooting pro gun, country

Lol. Where were you when I was being attacked for supporting Mark the past few weeks and years? Glad to see a fellow Carolinian speak up.
