Source: Only President Could Have Made 'Stand Down' Call On Benghazi

A source with intimate information about the events that happened on the ground in Benghazi the night the U.S. Consulate and the CIA annex was attacked by terrorists told Breitbart News that, ultimately, only the President of the United States, or someone acting on his authority, could have prevented Special Forces either on the ground or nearby from helping those Americans who were under deadly assault.

According to the source, when the attack on the Consulate occurred, a specific chain of command to gain verbal permission to move special-forces in must have occurred. SOCAFRICA commander Lieutenant Col. Gibson would have contacted a desk officer at the time, asking for that permission.

That desk officer would have called Marine Corps Col. George Bristol, then in command of Joint Special Operations Task Force-Trans Sahara. From there, Bristol would have made contact with Rear Admiral Brian Losey, then Commander of Special Operations Command Africa. Losey would have contacted four-star General Carter Ham, commander of U.S. AFRICOM at the time.

It somewhat contradicts what I have understood up until now that only the POTUS could authorize a CBA but is still not a lot different. It is hard to imagine anyone else deciding to leave them all hanging.

You betcha he was...he was not available during the hours in question because he was either out smokin’ dope, lovin’ Reggie/whoever, or yet the one I heard was that he and Valerie Jarrett and others had a meeting and were trying to figure out a story they could tell the press and the world when Benghazi exploded in their faces. The story was that obozo was going to have a “October Surprise” for the voters just before the Elections in November, 2012. The plan was for Ambassador Stevens to be “kidnapped” by obozo’s Muslim Brotherhood allies, and held for “ransom.” obozo was suppose to negotiate the “release” of Stevens, give his Muslim Brotherhood buddies the trade-off they wanted (the blind sheik was suppose to be exchanged for Stevens), and obozo figured he would become a hero to the American public, and a shoo-in at the 2012 elections. And then the Benghazi plan blew up in his face, and now he was scrambling to save face with the public and come up with some plausible story to tell the press. It was a pure political move on obozo’s part, and in the end men died, men who pleaded for help, men who were ignored by the limp-wristed pResident, all for political gain. obozo’s sorry azz should be dragged out of the White House and be “displayed” for all to see as a socialist/communist/marrxist “pResident” who consorts with an enemy of the United States (Muslim Brotherhood), who is a conniving, self-serving pathological liar and should be impeached, just to name a few reasons. obozo, Clinton and the rest of his cabal have blood on their hands and they must be punished for the political move that blew up in their faces and killed soldiers in the process. This story must never die, and these traitors must be punished.

Please see my post #125. This story was first broken by a retired Naval Admiral Lewis, I believe, can't positively remember his name. This story was all over the internet..haven't checked it lately to see if it's been scrubbed. No one picked up on this story..the leftist media totally ignored it, and now it's coming out as probably the truth of what really happened. oboma must be taken down and hard, along with his leftist cabal. I would guess that the Admiral commanding the Stennis Battle Group and the Commander of AFRICOM were relieved of command (although that was polished up later) because they were going to send people in (with or without CBA) anyway.

Shortly afterwards, Petraeus is popped for having a little on the side (commonplace DC practice), and the personnel shuffle began--all CYA for Duh-1--scatter the people in the know, and if they won't play ball, well, DC is a dangerous and crime-ridden town, and the Beltway is a dangerous drive...
