Mike Lupica, the ESPN host and regular panelist on the network's Sunday "The Sports Reporters" program, wrote in a column that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin addressed "mean," "dumb," "angry," and phony patriots at the NRA convention last Friday in Houston, Texas.
In a New York Daily News column published late Sunday evening, Lupica also called NRA attendees the "craziest and creepiest gun lovers on the planet" who are also "phonies" who think "they're patriots and brave defenders of the Second Amendment."
Outraged that Palin rightfully called out those like Lupica who have shamelessly tried to exploit senseless tragedies like Sandy Hook for more gun control, Lupica wrote NRA convention attendees were "contemptible people."

Shouldn’t ESPN stick to sports?
Eunich. Sarah probably shoots better than he does little whiner.
Mike = proof positive that liberalism is a mental disease.
Why would they do that? They never miss an opportunity to preach their religion.
Sarah making the little girlie boys cry again?
Okay, teach me the HTML so I can do that too. Thanks.
Yet Rush was “too political” to work in sports. Wrong politics, more like it. A blacklist exists today that the revisionist media will not acknowledge.
Maybe even one day, they'll promote him to the NY Times, which is like becoming a Yankee centerfielder for a midget typist who never succeeded at sports.
Fortunately the number of Detroit Tiger games on ESPN is very limited so I can afford to miss those.
If Palin did a ceremonial First pitch, ESPN covering it would be understandable.
Lupica is a pocket sized pansy who’s made a living writing about games he couldn’t play. He’s got a career made out of being wrong and irrelevant. I see he’s furthering that career.
I quit watching BSPN a long time ago..a joke of a network, a far left crap hole that praises the likes of Jason Collins, a nobody who only came out so that he could get traded to a team that is a championship contender, but berates NRA members..hey Mikey, if you hate the NRA so much tell those guards that protect the ESPN headquarters to put down their weapons and carry forks instead
Last summer ESPN covered a Tiger game in Detroit and the local color camera showed a picture of the Ambassador bridge in the distance and the idiots talking about their beloved Yankees during a Tiger game called it the Golden Gate bridge.
Morons
My tweet to ESPN
@espn Stick to sports you morons. A can live without the handful of baseball games you show.
That's an easy one:
For smaller text, wrap the desired text inside TEXT TO MAKE SMALLER like this:
Normal size TEXT TO MAKE SMALLER back to normal (using -1)
Normal size TEXT TO MAKE EVEN SMALLER back to normal (using -2)
You can use -3, etc for even smaller text than that.
For bigger text, just use a plus sign instead of a minus sign.
Type "< font size=1>Midget< /font>"
but take out the double quotes and the spaces after each "<"
