Of course, Politico doesn't bother to mention all the new sponsors, plus the sponsorship of other talk shows by some of the sponsors who have left Rush.

This could shake up radio in several major markets. I wonder where he'd land in DC if not WMAL.

You know what I think? Ole Lew should read up on what happened to SLEEP TRAIN.

That’s what I think.

Lew Dickey is a fool.
WBAP has been sliding since Cumulus took over, They are not sliding because of Limbaugh.

This reminds me of the story of the waiter who was rude to Howard Hughes.

According to legend, Howard Hughes bought the restaurant just so he could fire him.

The Sandra Fluke thing was hilarious. I was cleaning the kitchen when he was going off and it cracked me up so hard.

I hope Rush doesn’t have to leave CBM here. I’d rather he be on the real conservative station, but he’d probably be back to MSM station BAL if CBM had to drop.

Rush will survive despite Cumulus.

He’s played the circuit here in the bay area over the years.. never forget the day I turned on ksfo and Huckanbee was on,,

He should just start his own network. The Rush
Network .. Time stands still until you hit play... he always has his tea drink business to fall back on.

Carbonite was one of the first to leave Rush, and then almost begged to go back. I tossed them and was happy to do so.

Where Rush goes, that’s where I’ll go. If WABC drops him, it will be their their loss— as they’ll soon find out.

I think this is maneuvering before new contract negotiation.
Both parties are making calculated move.

Clear Channel purchased WOR in New York last year. A likely move by Rush to WOR in New York was reported in the Daily News back in December.

http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv-movies/rush-limbaugh-sean-hannity-wor-article-1.1224788

With 850 stations, Clear Channel is the largest radio station group owner in the United States, both by number of stations and by revenue. Cumulus Media is #2, operating 570 stations.

I've already programmed a button on my car radios to WOR 710, even thought I know this won't happen until next year.

Cumulus CEO Lew Dickey apparently is a low-information radio magnate, LOL.

The only thing wrong with Rush calling Sandra Fluke a slut was apologizing for doing so. A slut is a slut is a slut. Oh, and the fugly b!t¢h is an attention whore, too.

Limbaugh referred to Fluke as "a slut" because she had called on congress to mandate insurance coverage of birth control. The subsequent controversy over those remarks resulted in a significant advertising boycott.

No. Rush called her a slut after she publicly bragged about her life as a slut and demanded Congress legislate financial support so she could continue to be a slut. Further, the "controversy" was orchestrated by the usual suspects who condone all deviant sexual behavior, demanding that it be both protected and publicly subsidized, but never named or ridiculed.

And yes, a bunch of advertisers with no moral integrity deserted Rush. Then a huge amount of customers stopped doing business with those venal cowards.

Endorsements by Rush are given serious consideration by his listeners. When those advertisers betray solid business arrangements for PC expediency, Rush's listeners will not hesitate to find alternative products.

Should Rush switch radio stations, both his listeners and advertisers will switch with him. And if the listeners cannot receive the new stations, they will subscribe to his podcasts.

One last cautionary tale for radio stations. Years ago I saw a radio station embrace its local liberals and drop The Rush Limbaugh Show. That basically took it out of the area. And the station personnel bragged about it. Well, within a week, they lost a significant amount of local advertising. And the businesses pulled no punches. They flat out told the radio station that they would not advertise with them until the show was restored. And if it went to another station, that's where their advertising was going. Rush returned to that station.

Look for either WOR AM or WCBS AM in NYC to take Rush in. Count on it.
