AS per the politically correct instructions there is no maention that Moslems have been killing Buddhists in the southern panhandle at a pretty good clip. The 969 folks have understood what Most Americans are too willfully blind to see, that it is a fight for survival. They are entering the fray early before the Moslem killers have grown strong and the threat becomse immediate.
1500 years ago Buddhism went through an aggressive expansionist phase, especially in China. It is in their background, and they do defend themselves.
It is a bit simpler and more obvious than that. Down in the southern portion of the country in the Kra isthmus there is a largish Moslem population.Moslems have been attempting to kill off or drive out the Buddhists there and have perpetrated some pretty atrocious murders, beheadings and such. It is self and national defense pure and simple.
I suspected that but I’m not familiar with the specifics of Muslim violence in Burma.
The Dalai Lama was hustled out of the country. He may have approved of the move but it wasn’t his decision. It was his votaries who did not want him to fall into the hands of the Chinese.
