Would you support Sarah Palin should she decide to run for the presidency in 2016?

Let's see. How does she compare to my litmus checks:

What's not to like?

Oh, yeah. That thing about not reading newspapers and also seeing Russia from her house. That's just too dumb to be true. /s

Well, but she did resign from her office, so I guess that's one thing not to like. But they all have at least one thing not to like. How does she compare on all the major conservative issues?

And the left absolutely hates her.

And Tokyo Rove and the GOP-e absolutely despises her.

But tea party conservatives like her. A lot!

And so do I.

How about you?

Are you ready to turn this country around with an honest to God pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, God-loving, America-loving patriot and grassroots conservative favorite who we can all be proud of and for whom we will work overtime for a change?

“He was born in Canada. If he runs for president, that sets a very bad precedent.”

If your mother was pregnant with you and took a day trip to Mexico and labor pains hit and she had you there, are you a Mexican?

I really like her, but she has no chance.

Like Buchanan, the elite will not permit someone with rough edges (in their view) to be their leader.

She would be savaged until she withdraws. imo

I think there will not be a repeat of the last-minute decision last time.

Four years is not a huge period of time, but Palin has had a (long) bit of time now to get her act together.

I think she knows she is primarily the top contender so far, in the 2016 race. She will have picked her moves very carefully this time through.

Only one matters “Palin Derangement Syndrome” Defined as the desire for people to parrot MSM talking points or outright lie, disrupt threads and ensure anyone but Palin gains political influence based on false and disproven information.

I’m tempted to say drop the pretense and save everyone the trouble; FR will end up supporting whatever lame old liberal the Rove crowd wants.

I really do think the Romneybots that keep trashing everyone here should be banned right now, and whenever their non-threatening male heads rise again!

Gov. Palin will have my total support. In 2012, we went through a whole list of people, including several “flavors of the week”. We can’t afford to do that again. We have to unite up front on our candidate or we will surely have another losing liberal Republican get nominated.

Wherever Sarah Palin appears, she is the focus of attention. She overshadows Santorum, Perry, Cruz, and everyone else. She is in a league by herself in delivering her message, in name recognition, and in constancy of her positions.

Why do we require her to get the support of her family, which by all appearance supports her even to the point of babysitting? Do we ask the same of male candidates?

And those who think her 32 months as Governor is not adequate experience need to remember that she fought the political wars of Alaska for almost 20 years. She didn’t just occupy the office of Governor, she actually governed. She didn’t just support reducing spending. She did it. And do we really think that one of these guys who overspent and compromised and lived the DC life will be able to rescue the country from the brink?

Jim, the answer to your question is YES, Palin 2016.

The GOP-e adopted the idea that you go for the middle to win ~ and, of course with the electorate laid out on a bi-modal saddle there is NO MIDDLE!

If you go for a non existent body of voters, to wit, the middle, you lose every single time.

The paid advisors and their slick haired bleached blonds seem to be unaware of the basics of political theory.

They didn't select liberalism, or letwingtardism as I call it, they do this middle ground middle way average voter thing and drive it all the way into the ground with a crash landing.

To win in politics it's wise to understand the mechanics. They are simple ~ bring in coalition partners to your party. Go or getting the most voters. Trash the other guys.

Haha, yes he is! Whenever I hear any of the moonbats make fun of either Sarah or Todd's physical appearance, I can only laugh.

People may have their differences with Sarah Palin, but anyone who says this isn't one of the most attractive political couples in the history of the Unites States is either lying, insane, or both.

Romney's and Palin's respective records of public commentary and advocacy outside of office as governor are thin compared to that of Reagan before he ran for President.

After Reagan's two terms as Governor were over, he authored a nationally syndicated opinion column and radio commentary program that ran for years. Reagan wrote and delivered over a thousand such radio commentaries from 1975 to 1979. In addition, Reagan delivered numerous speeches and wrote extended opinion pieces.

Reagan thus developed both a firm grasp of the issues and a political identity as a solid and reliable conservative with a strong political following. By the time of his 1980 campaign for President, Reagan had polished his speaking skills, with a sunny disposition and a repertoire of jokes and crowd-pleasing lines that made him a superb stump speaker.

Similarly, with an extraordinary work ethic, Margaret Thatcher made herself into a tremendously effective speaker, from the brutal give and take of Parliamentary debate to extemporaneous campaign speeches. She conveyed a sense of sincerity, knowledge of the issues, and determination to bring Britain back from the mire of socialism and a destiny of decline.

Unfortunately, Palin is not doing the equivalent hard work to prove her liberal critics wrong and small-minded. I would love for her to be writing and delivering speeches like Reagan and Thatcher did for years. If Palin started doing that now, she could become a potent conservative advocate and a potential President.

The bleach blonded are liberals. If the GOP wanted to win, they could have done it twice since bush. They tanked both elections. First with McC’s sucking up to Barry and the GOP trashing its own VP candidate from the inside and then by nomination and running an arch liberal with a record more leftist than Clinton...and wrecked every arguable conservative existance on the way there.

That is intent to lose. They do not want the middle. They ARE the left.

My problem isn’t whether any of us would support her. The question is: Will she do it? Will Sarah actually run for the office of the President of the United States of America in 2016?

I just don’t see any hope of talking her into it if she doesn’t want to, as desperately as we and her country need her. It’s up to her.

The RINOS didn’t deserve her, but we did. I was ready to march to the gates of hell with her, and then she didn’t run. Sorry, it puts a bad taste in my mouth how she handled that situation.
