A shotgun wielding robber was thoroughly humiliated Saturday when his intended victim promptly disarmed him and gave chase.
The would-be robber approached his mark in the early morning hours along a deserted street in New Orleans, Louisiana. The suspect quickly shoved a shotgun into the victim’s face and demanded cash, police said.
But in a daring maneuver, the victim disarmed the gunman and pursued him as he fled the scene. Moments later, the victim was approached by a sedan — whose driver audaciously asked for his gun back.
Instead, the victim smashed out the vehicle’s rear windshield — causing the suspect to abscond to an unknown location.

I bet whippets make a serious comeback, shotgun pistols basically, very popular in Britain.
Instead of the victim busting out the perp’s rear window when he aksed for the gun back (audaciously), I’d much rather seen another video from a different CCTV showing a gutshot perp yelling “ambalamps!” “I need a ambalamps!”
Why in the world didn’t the intended victim shoot him? It was all caught on tape, and would have been perfectly justified self-defense in any court of law. And another worthless predator permanently off the streets.
I doubt either one knew they were on camera at the time the incedent took place.

Another point: This guy was targeted, at least in part, because his situational awareness sucked. Jeff Cooper would have needed to add a color code to the low end of his chart to describe people who walk public streets while texting and/or with earbuds drowning out the sounds of approaching people and vehicles. This guy got lucky, but it was a lesson that might’ve been avoided.

This works with a shot gun, but try it with a pistol.
Definitely good car gun. Virginia is good about that, we can keep loaded handguns in the console/glove box.
I don’t care... It goes in the trunk of the car or in the toolbox on the truck wherever I travel...
