The former fiancee of NBA star Jason Collins said today she had no idea that he was gay, despite dating him for eight years.
Carolyn Moos, 34, broke up with Collins - who became the first openly gay, active player when he came out yesterday - in 2009 when he cancelled their wedding, leaving her heartbroken and confused.
The 6'5" former WNBA player said she was shocked when Collins delivered the news to her last weekend and confessed that was the real reason he ended their relationship.

Okay, seriously, nowadays, I don’t understand why those who are homosexual can just come out, it’s not as if every gay newscaster gets stoned on his way home from work just for coming out. It’s also not as if every “coming out” politician gets it either. What’s all the need to just break up the relationship early on. I have had girlfriends who could break up with me in shorter times for reasons other than they’re being secret lesbians, in fact, none of them actually did. I have yet to see my wife come out and divorce me, although I would find that pretty odd considering she really put that effort in to help me find a better job, so that she could leave her job as an accountant and become an house Mom, most of the time, anyways.
It sounds like he is bisexual, not gay.
A WNBA player named “Moos”? Maybe that could convince me to take a look at the Dark Side too...

Apparently there are. I can’t tell you how many people had some stereotypical idea that my wife as an accountant was homosexual, but in reality she was having a job where she could support herself and save up some money before she finally could meet a great husband (i.e. ME) It took her until the age of 27 and 30 for me, but we made it work. She also really pushed and helped for me to find a better job so that she could phase into part-time, and find a good time for the children that came shortly after.

All one has to do to be call courageous these days is say your gay.
Does not necessarily mean one actually has to be gay.
