The Tsarnaev family, including the suspected terrorists and their parents, benefited from more than $100,000 in taxpayer-funded assistance — a bonanza ranging from cash and food stamps to Section 8 housing from 2002 to 2012, the Herald has learned.
“The breadth of the benefits the family was receiving was stunning,” said a person with knowledge of documents handed over to a legislative committee today.
The state has handed over more than 500 documents to the ( 11-member) House Post Audit and Oversight Committee, which today met for the first time and plans to call in officials from the Department of Transitional Assistance to testify.

$10,000 per year for a family of 4 is not all that big a deal ~ but if there were caseworker checks on these guys I wouldn't be surprised to see Supplemental Social Security ~ they give it to you immediately upon getting a diagnosis of schizophrenia.

Our Govt hands out our tax dollars to every foreign person that comes here. The foreigners that come here know our system better than we do. It just infuriates me to no end. They end up living off our govt. and they let them. I have a family member that is married to a non US Citizen and hear all kinds of ways they get money from the govt. Married foreigners can bring their wives here but don’t tell our govt they are legally married and they get to receive more benefits from govt. My family members inlaws came to visit for 6 months and they filled out paperwork and said they were living here so they got SSI benefits and paid by our govt.
When are the handouts going to stop?
I would tell these boneheads that the problems isn't giving assistance to someone who became a terrorist, it socialism in the first place!!

Just watch Gov Deval patrick with illegal resident Obama will have the FBI, IRS and other Gubmint agencies at the Boston Herald. I suspect they used public welfare resources as a supplemental stipend to their regular employment ~ which probably involved murdering people and/or disposing of their bodies.
The Boston mob was always looking for such people. Stealing from the public purse was a minor issue in that lifestyle.

That is a huge difference ~ 15 X as much for one recipient versus another!
Don't get hung up on $100,000 over 10 years for 4 people when you have $65,000 per year for the next 25 years! Plus, you get to pay their health insurance.
Yet they were well-dressed, drove nice cars, and Mommy stole from Lord & Taylor, not Wal-Mart. They had some other source of income.
