The Democrats scoff when we remind them that the second amendment was intended by the founders for the people to defend against government tyranny.
"What? Are we tyrannical?" They innocently exclaim.
And the answer is yes.
When you elect an admitted Marxist to the presidency who claims the constitution (that he is supposed to uphold) is a flawed document and pledges to "transform America" by importing European spread-the-wealth around Marxism to ensure "economic justice," that is tyranny!
When the capitalism-hating Marxist president seizes control of car companies, screws the stockholders, screws the bondholders, screws the dealerships, recapitalizes it with OUR tax dollars from the treasury and then turns it over to HIS political supporters, ie, the unions, that is tyranny!
When your constitution-loathing Marxist president is dead set on installing HIS socialist healthcare system over the objections of the people and all Republicans in congress and has his henchmen in congress ram it through anyway not letting the congressmen to even read the bill or debate it and not even following the rules of the senate, that is tyranny!
When your liberty-hating Marxist president threatens that if the congress does not act on his pet Marxist projects then he will bypass them and he declares he can go around the constitution and run the country by executive order, that is tyranny!
When your Liberty-hating Marxist president and his thuggish cabinet officers publish reports stating that Christian, constitution defending, veteran patriots and tea party members are more of a danger to America than the Islamic terrorists and then conspire to disarm them, that is tyranny!
When the American-hating Marxist/Islamofascist president conspires with foreign powers and uses American assets to overthrow middle eastern governments and replace them with his Muslim Brotherhood friends, that is tyranny.
When the American-hating Marxist president and his thuggish Attorney General states that citizenship is a civil right and must be rewarded to illegal alien border jumpers, that is tyranny!

However, I don't even see us even getting to the next election without some kind of economic crisis. Why has the DHS been stockpiling ammo? Why was NDAA passed? Why does the Patriot Act keep getting extended, even if it actually reflects the opposite of it's name sake? Why are drones the future of America spacious skies? Why does Rubio want "Amnesty" without calling it that, knowing full well that the democrats will control elections well into the distant future? I think we are well beyond the point of solving things through electoral means alone.
Just like Germany in the early 30's, everything that is being done to destroy this country is being done on a slow boil. Even the Jews thought it was just political rhetoric to call for their deaths by politicians eager to get elected.
I disagree with the "hide your guns" critics on FR. Even at Lexington and Concord, the Continentals hid their stockpiles of powder and shot when they got word that the Red Coats were coming. However, the Sons of Liberty chose the battleground - they chose the time and place. When the Jack-Booted DHS thugs arrive on your doorstep with UN Peacekeeper support, they control the time and place. Individual battles cannot be won against superior forces - that is suicide. According to poll sponsored by anti-tax crusader Grover Norquist’s Americans for Tax Reform and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Partnership for a New American Economy, 67 percent of Republicans support the Senate “Gang of Eight” immigration bill and 61 percent of Republicans believe immigration reforms will improve the economy. Overall, 74 percent of Americans support the reforms, the groups said in a press release Thursday.
“It’s clear that Americans across the country, including the overwhelmingly majority of Republicans, are fed up with an immigration system that is holding back our economy and hasn’t been updated since the age of black-and-white TVs,” said Bloomberg, co-chair of the Partnership for a New American Economy. “Our current immigration laws are no longer sustainable – especially when it comes to the needs of America’s 21st century economy – and people of all political stripes recognize that.”
The poll, done in conjunction with the National Immigration Forum Action Fund, also found that lawmakers stand to gain support from their Republican constituents for backing immigration reform.
“By a more than 4-1 margin, Republicans said they would have a more favorable opinion of their member of Congress rather than a less favorable opinion if they were to support the bipartisan Gang of Eight plan,” the groups said, as they try to nudge some conservative Republicans to support the legislation.

So, you would do exactly what when they come to your house and ask for your guns that you refuse to hide?
Anyone can ask for my guns, but they can't have them. If someone attempts to disarm me by force, then they have just broken the basic civil compact, and are now fair game - just like any criminal intruder.
Your government doesn't have the authority to take your guns. They're crossing a very dangerous line to even ask you about them. Our right to keep and bear the means to defend ourselves, wasn't granted by government, and it can't be taken away by them. Should they attempt to violate that right, then they're no better than any other murdering regime in history.
If you think it's a better survival tactic to turn over your guns to a jack booted authority, or hide them like some treasured bauble, go right ahead, but you've missed the entire rationale for owning them in the first place.
The poster in question ran off a list of solutions to answering the current tyranny, but none of them involved directly confronting the source of the oppression.
Although I don't believe it's a majority, there's a certain percentage of decent, patriotic Americans who can't handle the concept of fighting back. They'll enthusiastically support every passive means of resistance you can think of, but as soon as you suggest they actually stand up to tyranny, they head for the exits.
Not only that, but we will bitterly cling to our high flow toilets and 100W incandescent light bulbs.

I posted it on my Facebook page...people need to realize where we are and stop with their intent on “normal living”. There is nothing normal about these times.
I have never cared what someone thought about me due to my political opinion. I call them like I see them. The end result is I have no friends or acquaintances that are not like minded so I am only preaching to the choir. To be able to truly convince people they are wrong or misinformed you have to spend time with them and I cannot stand 1 minute around a liberal. They are almost just too stupid to live.
No to any type of social media. No to an app for everything. We are becoming the lemmings in the kids movie Wall-E.
