Turned away because they were priests or because they were not medical personnel?

Why is anyone surprised? Massachusetts — and the Boston area in particular — is a bastion of radical secularism.

My brother died 2 1/2 years ago, my sister died last week the first thing I asked for them was a Priest.

Christians are under attack.

There is no doubt of it.

A perfect example of how the body is everything to modern people and the soul nothing. The cult of the body. Early in “The Gospel Of Life”, Pope John Paul II writes about how secularism breeds materialism and utilitarianism and an obsession with productivity and efficiency as the more profound dimensions of man, the spiritual life and the soul fall away.

Who made that decision?
Names, please.

The perverts have taken control of disaster scenes now, too?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't catholic chaplains essential in battle zones (as well as other chaplains) in clearly danger zones?

“How can this be right?”

It’s not right. It’s terribly wrong. God is not going to bless our country.

Batten down the hatches! Obama and Islam are taking us to the bottom!

Fr. Mychal Judge died on 9-11-2001 trying to save lives and souls. Boston is a disgrace to his memory.

My question is, why did the priests accept this? As far as I’m concerned, they should have just forced their way through. Is obedience to the government higher in their priorities than obedience to God?

It reminds me of a scene in Msgr. Hugh Benson's 1907 futuristic apocolyptic novel "Lord of the World." There is some kind of aviation disaster that destroys a section of the city (London, I believe). The clerics of the World Humanist Religion are going around euthanizing survivors, while a few Catholic priests (the Catholic Church being illegal) are striving to get into the disaster area and pray and administer the Last Rites.

I don't know what the projected date of this novel was supposed to be, but it was during the predicted Last Days, and it sure seems to be happening now.

The parents of that slain Catholic 8-yr old boy should sue the city of Boston for preventing her son from his Last Rites, as a Catholic priest was mere steps away and was not allowed into the zone by the heroic first responders.

They would have welcomed an Imam coming to the site to praise Allah for the death and dismemberment of the Infidels!

While the article is shocking at first glance, most Catholics know that this is how it will be in the coming last days.

This is grievous persecution. How many would have cried out ..."Father, Father...help me ...pray for me."

An eight year old Catholic boy lay dieing and the government stops a priest to be an attendant at the boy's side.

It is an interesting psychological trauma inflicted on the victims. An interesting vacume created in the evil chaos.

Standard procedure for bombings against civilians. Terrorists plant bombs to target first responders.

The fact that the writer pretends that this only involves ministers from the catholic denomination says a lot, it is no wonder that the Catholic bastion is also a democrat bastion.

Massachusetts is the most Catholic state in America, and this writer is an example of why conservatism is almost non existing in this home of Catholics, his misleading article and his sole focus on Catholic Priests seems to reveal something about Boston and Massachusetts, it is about “Catholic” rather than “Christian”.

h/t to freeper verga for the ping.

From what I read on a different thread, the argument made was that anyone can purchase a clerical collar for $10 and use it as an excuse to move among the dead and dying. The sad aspect of this, however, is that the young boy was denied the Last Rites Sacrament.

"But it is a poignant irony that Martin Richard, the 8-year-old boy who died on Boylston Street, was a Catholic who had received his first Communion just last year. As Martin lay dying, priests were only yards away, beyond the police tape, unable to reach him to administer last rites…"

"How can this be right?"

Right it is not. Absolutely unconscionable. Sounds like the Boston police need more training, and possibly a whack on the back of the head from the priests of those cops who are Catholic.
