Parents of children attending a Red Hook, New York, middle school are outraged after a recent anti-bullying presentation at Linden Avenue Middle School.
The workshop for 13 and 14-year-old girls focused on homosexuality and gender identity. They were also taught words such as "pansexual" and "genderqueer."
Parents say their daughters were told to ask one another for a kiss and they say two girls were told to stand in front of the class and pretend they were lesbians on a date.

My son is in a very good school right now, but if something like this were to happen I would be in touch with the PTB within 24 hours of the event.
I wish I had the ability to boycott school and homeschool my kids...but unfortunately, they have made that very costly and I can’t afford it. :(
There is one teacher that is causing me issues and I have called a meeting with the Principal, counselor and teacher to discuss options to change the way she treats children who are on a 504 plan due to having a condition that affects his hands/wrists and fingers.
Shouldn’t this be considered corrupting the morals of a minor? Shouldn’t these teachers and staff be investigated to see if they are pedophiles. If the local DA’s won’t do anything, should’t parents hire an “amulance chaser” lawyer and give the school something to think about.
America is collapsing because our jobs are going overseas.
And the schools’ response, is this idiocy?

How much are your kids worth? How much are you willing to sacrifice for your kids? Are you willing to move? You can find very low-cost housing in rural or urban America. You just probably won’t be able to afford the suburbs.
You may think your kids are in a “good school”, but all schools are run by the government and are staffed with union operatives and communist sympathizers. The fact that there are occasional exceptions does not detract from the reality that the overwhelming preponderance of the teaching in the government school is to make your kids happy little slaves to the totalitarian state, and that whatever the state says is good is good, and whatever it says is bad is bad.
We are not entering Orwell’s “1984” so much as we are entering Huxley’s “Brave New World”. If you haven’t read it, then you must. Also, “Stranger in a Strange Land.”

I wish you were correct on this. My fear is they would just hire more bureaucrats and guidance counselors. No level of government easily gives up taxes once they have been enacted.
I agree. I've been looking for a concerted effort on this front, but it's hard to find any.
Homeschooling is hard. Vouchers for private schools would be better, but even Freepers scream about them. It's tough.
DISGUSTING....not to mention why are they even SUGGESTING 13 and 14 year olds be kissing AT ALL???? Sexualizing children seems to be the main purpose of public schools these days...
If that was MY daughter, Mr. Finch would be at the hospital having his nose straightened.
My shcool offered a class called “Future Sudies” where we read those books and more. I hand out copies of “Animal Farm” to friends I think are ready to have their eyes opened, but most are blissfully unaware.
What goes on in school 5-10 years from now will make this look mild and tame. Thats how fast we are plummeting.

And difficult; the mess has to start from the top down, with those who are giving the orders having "accidents" or simply disappearing...

All those involved should be jailed for pedophilia. PERIOD. Even up to all school board members for accessory. If this was any other adult they would be. Where is the prosecutor in this town?
You have to get the approved books, work sheets and tests...you have to pay the fees in order to homeschool...you have to participate in the state mandated tests (CRCT), and for those you have to travel to the approved testing site. It’s very costly to homeschool, and unfortunately...I am unable to pay that kind of money right now. I recently had back surgery and have not been released to return to work so no-one will hire me at the moment. Not to mention, the horrible economy under Obama hasn’t done much for creating jobs for the millions who are out of work.

I am sorry to hear of your recent back problems.
I asked the question because I wondered if the Obama administration was using a backdoor for his educational agenda (making homeschooling so expensive, thus forcing parents to keep children in public schools) like he has been doing with so many other items on his agenda.
He is doing the same with CommonCore curriculum -— a backdoor indoctrination program into progressive/socialist/Marxist ideology.
