Mormons faced intense criticism after church leaders helped fund and lead the fight for California's Proposition 8, a constitutional ban on gay marriage that voters adopted in 2008 after the state Supreme Court ruled that homosexual Californians could marry. Mormon officials said they were stunned by the backlash from homosexual activists and from many Mormons who felt the church was wrong to take such a prominent role in favor of the ballot measure. Since then, church leaders in Salt Lake City and elsewhere have been trying to reach out to homosexuals to heal tensions.
Scout units chartered to LDS churches account for 16.6% of all registered Scouts in the U.S. - the largest of any charter organization (from 2012 BSA membership report).
5/30-6/02/2012 – BSA held its annual national council business meeting in Orlando, FL. Telecom pioneer and Seattle Mariners co-owner, Wayne Perry, was elected as the BSA's 34th (volunteer) president. Perry, a life-long member of the LDS Church, began his career in telecommunications and was chairman and CEO of Edge Wireless until it was sold to AT&T in 2008.
Why is this a surprise......homosexual justification marriage leads to polygamy, which is practiced in the mormon temple, can now be practiced for the world to see.
First hurtle was to get over the ‘sex’ one can marry and the next is ‘how many’ one can marry and then why limit it to humans as everyone knows a dog is man’s best friend. Evil knows no bounds.

There were a group of “Scout” leaders (Mormons) who were molesting boys.
Where there is polygamy, there is an underlying hatred of women-—and a preference of “men” or should we say “young” men.
Homosexuality is all about the boys-—it is an immaturity—a fixation caused by trauma or emotional abuse in the Latency period or at puberty.
There is no “maturing” to appreciate the diversity of the opposite sex. They are fixated on self—idolatry/narcissist. We see it in zero who was probably molested in Thailand in mosques. As Shoebat stated in a M. Savage interview—all Saudis prefer boys. Same as John Maynard Keynes who bragged in letters to his homosexual orgy friends where to comb for little boys.
They need homosexuality taught in schools to pervert the children into a homosexual “mindset”. It is a learned behavior as all homosexual cultures prove-—including Afghanistan today with their harems.
This is not unexpected. We forced them to give up on their heretical definition of marriage 150 years ago. Now they are back for the ride down the slippery slope.

The gay mafia ain't going to be happy because their satanic crusade against the Boy Scouts has always been about imposing themselves into leadership positions and never about the youth.
As a former B.S.A. youth and and leader, I would have preferred to have seen a more clearly worded statement from both the B.S.A. and one of their major constituent organizations condemning the deviancy and anti-first amendment stand of the gay mafia pushing this crap.
In ObaMao's America, however, with its out of control government, this is probably about the best we could have hoped for and still ensured the survival of a valuable and worthwhile organization for youth.
I could be wrong, but I just don't see a rush of under 18 year old queers rushing to infiltrate and undermine the B.S.A. And that assumes the rank and file even approves this slight shift in the B.S.A. position, as they are required to do.
A single standard of moral purity. The Mormon position is that ALL Scouts are to be sexually abstinent. That is a much higher standard than many others have.
The LDS church will go largely Politically Correct in less than 15 years. The suits in SLC have already decided it, and they’re phasing in women in the priesthood and gay marriage.
Doesn’t matter whether or not the Mormons approve. The homosexual lobby will continue to push for the inclusion of adult homosexual leadership. The Brown Bomber himself will hie on the homos, and he will be followed closely by the usual gang of Socialist-Liberal bandits. And Barney Frank may try to insert himself into the mix.
Don’t think for a minute that leadership positions are not the goal. The inclusion of gay scouts is merely to get the frogs used to the nice, warm water as it heats to a boil.
If they do this, I know family members who are taking their boys out of the scouts. I don’t care what the Mormons have to say because it is just being your typical political correctness wimps.

Certainly not the Scouts’ goal.
Boy Scouts should just fold the tent and go away. They have failed.
And the girls scouts, also, as they have subtle ties to Planned Parenthood. We can see how evil works - whatever is good they infiltrate.
