One major piece of unfinished business from George W. Bush's presidency is comprehensive immigration reform. With the issue once again before Congress, President Barack Obama said Thursday if it passes this time, Bush should receive a lion's share of the credit.
Obama spoke, along with four other living U.S. presidents, at a dedication ceremony for Bush's new presidential library in Dallas, Texas. All of them mostly avoided discussion of partisan politics, but Obama took a moment to praise Bush for his effort to find compromise on immigration reform.

No Mexican would vote for a Republican.
“Reform” goooood.
“Defense” baaaaad.
Yes, who can forget “see you at the signing.” That’s the same kind of smug arrogance that we get from Obama today.
Here we see Obama relvie his true intention for the immigration issues. Destroy republican party by driving idiot federal republican politicians into alienating their voter base.
How tacky and classless of Obama!
Classless faggot, co-opting another mans ceremony for his self serving agenda...
wow!
You showed up for this?

The Democrats of today are the Weather Underground of 1972
It has been one uninterrupted slide into fail for conservatives for 25 years. We have achieved nothing. Always playing defense, always chasing the culture.
So let me get this straight. Amnesty for illegal aliens is a bad idea now, but it was a good idea when Bush supported it. Let me guess, you’re one of those “Jeb 2016” guys, right?
Holding our breathe on Roberts? Are you kidding me, Roberts gave us Obamacare! Roberts should me removed from the court.
Oh dear gawd ..

FO nOOb .....
The surest way to identify a idiot on any online forum: somebody who thinks he can "win" any argument by bragging about how much longer he's been posting on the board than his opponent. Thanks for being exhibit A of this sort of dull, vacuous mind.
Did I not freakin say that??? So you are not holding your breath to hear what he has to say on Gay Marriage, perhaps even abortion??
Well I am holding breath
Neah.
President Bush DESERVES a lot of blame for the immigration problems. He didn’t build the fence - not event the part that had been authorized. He supported the comprensive reform scam (i.e. Amnesty), etc. Let the blame fall where it is due.
FYI, We fought President Bush on both AMNESTY and TARP.
You weren’t here then, so you didn’t know.
Guess the AM didn’t care for my response and I’m not plowing that field again.
You are presumptious at a minimum and merely guessing my views on this issue.
Further, you showed up a month ago with your jack wagon and adolescent boughts of turrets that have no basis in fact.
And, again AM, if you go through this nOObs history you will find this chump is a head case.

Well then, just why are you on this thread? Oh and one other thing, I can’t believe you’re blaming Pres. Bush for freaking OBAMACARE? Are you seriously trying to blame Pres. Bush for that, too? TSK! Explain yourself, please! Are you seriously out of any of the usual crap to complain about, that you have to dig up something to trash him with?
But did he deserve the blame for the immigration mess that started far before he got into office? No! Why is it that so many of you Bush bashers need to blame him for most of the immigration problems? I’m remembering him saying that he wanted to maybe grant amnesty on a case-by-case basis, not a “blanket amnesty” like so many on here accuse him of; and that only for those who have family wanting to join them. He also put many, many more National Guard forces on the borders than Obama and Clinton did, and yes, they were building walls and fences where they could!
Now I know I read that, so don’t tell me it didn’t happen and I’m imagining it all! I’m sure I read that, and as recently as about a year or two ago. It was when Obama was said to have put some National Guard forces on a few areas on the border, and it was by someone on “Free Republic”, I believe.
They all deserve blame. Ted Kennedy most of all, for changing the face of immigration; Reagan and Bush I for failing to enforce the border security provisions of the first Amnesty, Clinton for doing nothing, Bush II for reasons previously stated, and Obama.
