Unfortunately I think you're right. It will take massive, unimaginable suffering for liberals to be shaken out of their stupid stuffy imperious mindset. And even then the liberals will still try to find some way to blame themselves, or white people or George W. Bush or Sarah Palin or conservative christians for their troubles.
