On Monday, the Obama White House reportedly held a moment of silence for the victims of last week’s Boston terror attack. For whatever reason, however, the press was barred and the White House released this photo of the president looking at his shoes paying his respects:
Over at White House Dossier, Keith Koffler notes that this is another in a series of carefully crafted images released from the White House designed to craft Obama’s image in the wake of the terrorist attack:
Presidents rarely engage in this type of private symbolism, which has regal sense to it – the leader presuming that citizens will want to know he has paternal concern for them and possesses a deep sense of empathy. Obama could easily have taken the more traditional route for the leader of a republic and led the nation together in a moment of silence.
Or he could have privately observed the moment without mentioning it to anyone.

The guy is just creepy.
The series of photos of O reacting to the Boaston Marathon bombings do not reflect a leader on top of the situation. Rather, they are clear evidence that he has no ability to respond to the horror of this event. He is, as some have suggested, as much the problem as the bombers themselves. His policies have prevented appropriate actions that could have prevented the bombings. His consistent support for all things Muslim enabled the teachings and the culture that trained these brothers.
The pictures speak to fraud, deceit and a level of sick phony concern that creates a gag reflex, not a sense of confidence.
Is he facing toward Mecca?
The phrase ‘self-conscious’ comes to mind.
When 41 Federal employees under his direct command are surrounded and under attack by hundreds of Al Qaeda militants thousands of miles from home ... he says "take care of it" and goes to bed. Without issuing the necessary CBA order to make it possible to take care of it.
