I’m glad to see that Washington state has its economy booming and its crime eliminated and all other economic and social problems under control to be able to focus time on this nonsense.

They can call it anything they want, but there will always be something that goes into somewhere, whether it’s an electrical or plumbing connection or a persons parts...that won’t change.

Handwriting?
Isn't that biased against the other extremities?
What about ADA compliance?
Suppose someone doesn't have hands?
Doesn't this ruin their self-esteem?
Wouldn't pen-person-ship be more PC?

But isn’t handwriting “able-ist” thinking? What about amputees or those with birth defects who don’t have hands? Those who I believe are now referred to as “otherly-abled”.

Wait. What about people who are born with no hands? Or, people who have lost their hands due to accident, purposeful assault, or in battle? Isn’t using the term “HANDwriting” demeaning to them?/s

So will “they” now become a grammatically correct singular pronoun for non-specific gender?
As in,
The intern needs a new computer because they reported problems with its operating system.

Oh good God.
Waste of time, money, over a ninny non-issue.
I’m a woman, and I’m not offended. I’ve been called freshman, upperclassman, and chairman and I welcome it. I’ve even withstood the searing ravages of reading words such as “penmanship” and “history”.

Very nice.
To remove all gender ambiguity, my letter carrier should now be called a person person.

It’s been “handwriting” in our Texas school district for at least 20 years. No big deal on that one.
With the advent of computers, kids still need to know how to write legibly, but I don’t see that they need to know how to craft beautiful pages of “penmanship.”
To: massmike
This is a good thing. It will solve many problems and cure a few diseases as well. Thanks guys - it’s good to see you are doing the work of the people.
