TORONTO (Reuters) - Canadian police and intelligence agencies are to announce multiple arrests on Monday after an operation to thwart a "major terrorist attack," the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation said on Monday, citing unnamed "highly placed" sources.

The Canadians have been ratcheting their game up whenit comes to terrorism, probably more serious now than th US. And Prime Minister Stephen Harper is definitely more serious than President Obama.

Harper does take the terrorist threat more seriously, but he has done nothing to stem the flood of muslim immigrants into Canada. We suffer from the same PC BS in this country as you do in the U.S. As these Chechen lads showed, every muslim is a potential terrorist because if they actually begin to take their religion seriously it will inevitably lead to jihad against the infidel west. Those muslims who are not jihadists are like those who attend liberal Christian churches - they aren’t really following the essence of their faith. The essence of islam is jihad.

Although Al-Qaeda has had a known interest in Amtrak since 2011 or before, so I doubt this is the end of it. We need at the least a “no-ride” list barring suspected terrorists from Amtrak trains because of the potential threat of an attack.

I hate to digress off the thread.... but so is America, socialist that is. We are a Republic in name only, because socialism/marxism/communism/fascism (they're all basically the same thing) permeates EVERY SINGLE aspect & phase of our lives. There is not one single aspect of our lives that is not controlled & dictated by the federal gubmint. And we pay for it in every increasing hidden fees & hidden taxes. We now live in the USSA of Amerika.
While this is nice the problem with Canada is the same as the U.S. and every civilized country - allowing Muslims to enter their nations virtually unabated. This must stop. The risk is not justified and certainly not in the name of political correctness. Stop the spigot and get a friggen clue.
