Gun shows across the nation have experienced record turnout, even as the federal gun control push has hit a major roadblock.
April gun showsboth before and after the Senate killed the Toomey-Manchin billhave seen record crowds, as many fear the debate over the Second Amendment is not yet over.

Crowds at gun shows are still high because onservatives and other patriots know that politicians, especially democrats, cannot be trusted to abide by rules, laws or the constitution.
Their oath of office and the will of the people aren’t even minor considerations when they want something. If they cannot get what they want legitimately they resort to every trick, lie and underhanded method available.
again I say, our victory was massive. It can’t be stressed enough. The net effect of their offense was to generate the largest increase in circulating firearms and assault rifles in American history. All their time, effort, and money and this is what they have to show for it- nothing but a massive increase in the number of guns in circulation and no forseeable means of slowing that circulation down. Their failure is beyond epic-it’s legendary.
Well, it will, especially in California and New York and perhaps Massachusetts and Connecticut and Illinois. There the gun prohibitionists are in an absolute frenzy of frustration.
There is this as well: the city of Boston has just seen a homicidal bomber on the loose, armored vehicles and shock troops marching the streets, and a citizenry told to lock the doors and stay inside. Some of those people had firearms to defend themselves; others did not and fervently wished that they did. And there was an entire country watching whose people who were thinking, "what if that were me?"
Eh, maybe your local gun shop doesn’t carry pulsed plasma rifles in the forty-watt range.
I should have added, just for the variety. Heck I go to the Farmer’s Market now and then instead of the grocery store even if I don’t have anything on my shopping list.
obama is going to have to get some more crazy people to shoot up more schools until he can get the votes in the Senate.
Then he’ll have to get some even more crazy people to shoot up even more schools until he can get the votes in the House.
1. Huge variety. Your average gun shop has a few standard newly-made weapons but usually a minimal selection. Gunshows have everything under the sun, from new weapons from licensed dealers to historic weapons like M-1 Garands or M-1 Carbines or Winchester, Savage Arms, Remington, Colt, Walther, ad infinitem.
2. As a prosepective gun owner, you should either be educated enough or bring someone with you to examine the firearm in question before buying it. Kind of like buying a used car.
3. Can't believe a Freeper would ask "how do I return a defective purchase?". Sounds like a dependent Democrat! If you buy it from a dealer, keep your receipt. If you buy it from a private individual, keep that person's name and phone number. In my experience, gun sellers have very high integrity and will usually make good on any purchase that isn't the way it should be. The main thing is that you should know what you're looking for and how to inspect it before you lay down the money...
I would only buy a gun from a gunshow where I was unable to get from two dealers I use here in the Atlanta Metro Area.
They likely would be a WWII ‘relic’ or other type or parts thereof. Pistols, Revolvers, Rifles and shotguns mostly obtainable from Adventure Outdoors or Bargain Barn.
I’d never buy reloaded ammo from a gun show either.
My 2 cents
I’ve found that the price is much better and there are way more to choose from
Gun shows ping!
I think LRM probably deserves a pass since his screen name gives me the impression he’s living behind enemy lines. Perhaps one of these days he can join us in flyover country...
AR-15 giveaway shut down on Facebook: Gun business gets entire fan page yanked
April 22, 2013
By: Roz Zurko
Vocativ reported in their article that they contacted Facebook, who stated that they “were unaware of the situation.” Apparently Facebook then became aware of the AR-15 giveaway and closed Lowry’s company’s fan page down. The unhappy owner of the gun business reports that due to the actions of Facebook, his business decreased roughly 40 percent. The page had about 27,000 likes before it was wiped off the online world.
they aren’t “gone” unless you are buying from an inidvidual. And the dealers at the shows still have to do some background checks. Just get the dealer’s card and then you know where their normal place of business is. Go to one, then you will know.
Sen. Lautenberg Wants Background Checks To Buy Gunpowder,
Eyes Laws of Chemistry For Further Restriction
J.D. Tuccille|Apr. 17, 2013 8:01 pm
I suppose it was inevitable that, after Monday’s horrific Boston bombing attack turned out to be the result of crude chemistry and hardware supplies clamped into a pressure cooker, somebody would propose restrictions on anything that can go BANG! And, strictly speaking, we should probably be thankful that, rather than limit the cooks of the nation to hot plates and sterno, Sen. Frank R. Lautenberg (D-God’s Waiting Room) proposes “to require that sales of explosive powder be subject to a background check.”
If this profoundly silly proposal makes it into the law books, it might well slightly inconvenience the nation’s reloading hobbyists, who purchase gunpowder to save money on ammunition. But there’s no reason to believe it would constitute even a minor speedbump for terrorists, or that the perpetrator of Monday’s horror show would have been stopped by such a check.

I went to the Crossroads gun show in Phoenix, AZ this Saturday. Good crowd as usual, but not overly packed. However, the big ammo seller (Miwall Corp) had hour long lines at both of it’s booths. So it seems the ammo rush is still in full force. Russian .223 was ~$400/1000. Plenty of AR-15s and other EBRs (evil black rifles) (and all other types of guns) for sale.
Really sad, isn’t it? Gun shows have always been fun - pre-64 Winchesters, classic Colts from the days before cast parts and crooked roll stamps and of course Lugers in their innumerable variations. Hope our children and their children after them can enjoy them. We have to stop electing Democrats.
