George Bush Says Brother Jeb Best Man For The White House April 21, 2013
Since leaving office in 2009, former President George W. Bush has offered few political insights. But when it comes to his brother, Bush has a firm opinion: Jeb Bush is the best man to be president. Yeah, hed be the best candidate, tells Parade Magazine in an exclusive interview published today. I told him he ought to run, and he didnt answer me. No, hed be great.
Hes got a proven track record. He was a governor of a big state. Hes very articulate. He could deliver a convention speech in Spanish. In my judgment, hes right on the issues, [but] whether he runs or not, I have no idea.
Bush made his remarks about his brother, former Fla. Gov. Jeb Bush, on the proverbial eve of the opening of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum, located on the campus of Southern Methodist University, where his wife, Laura Bush once studied.
On April 25, the 43rd president will welcome President Obama, and his three living predecessors Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and Bush's father, George H. W. Bush to the official dedication ceremony.
He and former First Lady Laura Bush offered their opinions and thoughts on a wide range of topics for Parade Magazine, including being grandparents, whether the U.S. is safer since Sept. 11, 2001 and the future of Iraq.

And we’d have those awful “Day in the Life of President Bush” threads again, smooching his sorry butt while he sold us down the river.
“.....George W. cooked the Bushes’ goose as far as any further political success is concerned.
And Barbara added a bit of gasoline on the fire with her remarks about Sarah Palin.....”
*******************************************************************
When looking at Sarah Palin Barbara knew that she was looking at “the real deal”—the heart and soul of America.
Unfortunately, in the end, the Bush’s were well-meaning buffoons—sometimes carrying the Democrats water for them following advice from Karl Rove to do same. Barbara knew that the men in her family were of the “pale pastel” variety. They could never fill the shoes of a Ronald Reagan (or a Margaret Thatcher for that matter). Jeb Bush is cut from the same cloth.
Good lord....
Please shut up and tend to your ranch, Dubya. We’re doing our best to remember you in a good light. Don’t go and totally screw it up.
I’m done voting for rinos!
I’m definitely done voting for the Bush clan!!
Obama will not be running next time up. There is no reason whatsoever to even consider running another open borders RINO!! Enough of this nonsense!! Amnesty and open borders will not help unemployment! Nor will it help elect conservatives. NO MORE BUSHES!!
You are wrong, people on FR would not vote for another Bush.
He has 2 cildren & 4 Grndchildren sure one of then can run.

So how about Hillary? Surely she is better than Jeb Bush. Her last name isn’t Bush.
“You are wrong, people on FR would not vote for another Bush.”
Yea. Right. Nor would they vote for a RINO - except McCain and RINOmney.
If the RINOpublicans nominate Jeb, the majority here will vote for him, using all the rationalizations we heard to justify voting for RINOmney.
And, of course, his reign helped beget:
JEB BUSH IS CHANGE I DON'T BELIEVE IN!!!
PING!
Speak for yourself. I'll always remember him as the open borders big govt globalist liar that he is.
I remember sitting there, mouth hanging open when he said that...I was SO proud of how the whole thing HAD been handled and then he threw THAT in???
The Bush family would have to stuff the ballot boxes to make it happen. They have very high opinions of themselves.
I did say that we're trying to remember Dubya in a good light. The above is precisely what I was referring to.
Well said Sir!
ABSOLUTELY TRUE!
No, most on FR are done with the RINO candidates.
I think you are confusing what people say with what they will do. If Jeb wins the primary as the republican candidate, the majority will vote for him and use the same plantation phrases they used for Dole, bush I, McCain, and Romney.
If Hillary is the demonic candidate, a super majority here will vote for Jeb.
It is always that way on the plantation.
If you have escaped, welcome to the free world!
"The Bushes were well-meaning buffoons." "They could never fill the shoes of Reagan or Thatcher." Well said.
The Bushes are decent people; I must give them that, certainly more decent than most people involved in politics.
As I have said before: George W. Bush is a better man than Bill Clinton or Jimmy Carter, and he's smarter than Carter. Not saying much but at least I can give him that. I worked hard campaigning for him twice, and praised him extravagantly until it became obvious that he was a bad President--then a very bad President--and finally, one of the worst Presidents in US history.
George W. Bush was always a decent man with the nation's best interests and the welfare of the American people foremost in his mind, and he showed great courage and goodness, but he was simply not up to the job.
His intentions were always good; about that there can be no doubt whatsoever. However, those good intentions, filtered through a mediocre intellect and a mind capable of bad judgment, lead him to such bad decisions as refusing to halt illegal immigration, increasing entitlements, running up huge debts burdening even our grandchildren and--worst of all--setting us up for what we have now! These good intentions shoved America a long way down The Road to Hell--and our children, grandchildren, and their descendants will pay a heavy price for them.
