The capital "apparently indicates that an entire temple of castle is buried beneath it," the newspaper adds. However, when Rosental contacted the Israel Antiquities Authority to inform them of the find, the person he spoke to simply said "Yaron, good for you. You found it, but we already are aware of it. Now forget about the whole thing and keep your mouth shut."
Rosental said that he later found out that the IAA had known about the side for 18 months. He said that no digging has taken place since then, and that even steps like cordoning off the area to prevent damage to the rare find, have not been taken.
Rosental calls this "a scandal" but says that no less worrisome is that the state appears to have plans to move the separation fence between Israel and the PA in a way that will leave the site in the PA's hands,
According to Rosental, excavation of the site has potential for uncovering a complete castle from the Judean kings' period, for the first time ever. "We appear to have a complete castle here," he said. "Those who came after it did not know of its existence." The details found inside could be "amazing."
The IAA confirmed to Makor Rishon that the find is an important one that appears to date to the period of Judean kings. However, the IAA added, the subject is "sensitive" and "requires serious and responsible handing."

You need to dig into history a bit more. T I is right on target.
Looks like a big gilded pimple.
In 1219 the walls of the city were razed
A temple that size is hardly just a cover. Anyway, you may be correct that they just decided to build a temple on the biggest open ground they could find. But it doesn’t erase the fact that this is a Jewish holy site. To Islam it is conquered territory, Renamed Al-Quds in order to rewrite history and mis-identify it. The same way they renamed Constantinople, or Spain. Nevertheless, they will go ape-**** if it’s rightfully torn down because it doesn’t belong there. Pardonne moi the language.
>> “A castle? Could it be The Temple?” <<
.
More likely David or Solomon’s abode.
>> “how did the erection of that building desecrate anything” <<
.
It is built over the altar on which Abraham had tied Isaac to sacrifice him, had a goat not appeared.
Just recently a bunch of yahoos in Illinois knocked down Ronald Reagan's boyhood home ~
Given that Muslims deny the very existence of the Davidic kingdom, they and those Jews of the Enlightenment who also treat the Bible as a book of fables, one can understand how some would keep it quiet. If the Bible is history, then what the others believe is fable.
Until 1943, they did almost all the fighting and dying to keep Hitler at Bay, they and the Ruskies.
“Raise it to the ground? But, they hardly even teach proper English in school anymore.”
Is that why kids are reared, rather than razed or raised?
Even Raze it to the ground is a redundancy; certaintly poor English.
"Raze it" should suffice.
How about a palace or more geographically correct, a spacious villa?
Last week, the local McDonalds was Razed........ the site is a now muddy field. It was graded and compacted.
Something new is coming. A more modern McDonalds for sure.
That’s a most insightful statement.
It is just surmise or do you have more on that?
If youd like to be on or off, please FR mail me.

Genetic studies have shown that
I don’t really disagree with you but we did lend a hand. Hitler squandered his entire airforce trying to bomb London to rubble, which certainly helped.
In Mexico, and I imagine other places, the Spaniards systematically built churches over Altec places of worship. When I was at Mexico City College (US owned and operated) in the late 1950s, someone wanted to do a thesis on the mixing of pre-Columbian practices and Catholic practices. They were denied this thesis project.
That’s a good point, but there is a subtle difference here. Mexicans have basically dropped their old pagan religions, and don’t have a problem with the building of churches. They don’t view it as a foreign religion being forced upon them. If they wanted to tear those churches down again, there would be no insanity from us as a result. Even so, I’ll not claim that the history of Christendom is all virtue while Islam is all evil. I will claim there is a marked difference in them today.
