Within the last week, we had horrific terrorist bombings at the Boston Marathon that called to mind the travails that Israel must endure; we had the explosion of a fertilizer plant in Waco, Texas that killed more than 60; we had ricin-poisoned letters being delivered to Obama and other lawmakers; and we had the defeat of a gun-control bill in the Senate.
Guess which one Obama got angry over?
I will present to you three videos, and you may draw your own conclusions:
- Obama reaction to Boston Marathon Terrorism ... you will note his demeanor is muted, there is no rage, he is reading from paperwork on podium, and he implies a caution against jumping to conclusions.
- The next day, Obama had Boston Marathon Terrorism 'Pep Rally and Sports Review. The demeanor was one of trying to get people enthused, and he dropped numerous sports references, in a manner much more reminiscent of a coach than a President.
- Now we come to the Obama reaction to the defeat of the Manchin-Toomey gun control bill. *HERE* he becomes spirited, defiant, animated, often frowning. Suddenly, there is NO reading from paperwork on podium. This speech comes from his heart.
If you have been paying attention at all since 2008, you already know which of these videos will show a passionate Obama: Obama only became infuriated when his gun control bill went down in flames.
He was not angry about terrorist bombings in Boston that killed and maimed many, no no! The Waco, Texas fertilizer plant explosion that killed many others did not even register on his radar! The ricin-poisoned letters that began showing up in Washington was scarcely even a minor concern to him!
No, the most important, vexing, infuriating development for Obama was the defeat in the attempt to lessen American freedoms.
He was furious. He condemned Congress, he blasted the NRA, there was a furious glint of near-homicidal rage in his eyes as he shouted and ranted, alternately threatening and pleading for the results he wanted -- the further gutting of the Second Amendment.
There is something deeply amiss when our so-called leader does not care at all about the dead and wounded innocent victims of a terrorist bombing, or the dead and wounded victims of a horrific accident, or even the threat of assassination by poison-letter-sending leftist terrorists .... But only becomes enraged when an opportunity to strip Americans of their rights is squandered.

You cannot hide the true nature of speech form the heart, teleprompter man. There is no truth connected with Obozo, when he speaks form the heart, he reveals what he really is. The mask is off, the face is truly ugly.
I couldn’t watch much of this...the father is a tool, and the other guy..? Liar. An absolute dyed in the wool liar.
His only concern is how to turn it to his political advantage. Just like Clinton would.

His attempt at destroying the second amendment being shot down by his own party??

Very interesting take on the overall point. Well done. My point is that he could care less about Americans, except in what ways he might harm them, but you pointed out the fact that he was personally affronted by his own party was doubly enraging to him.

Works either way for me. To me, that outburst was also his “best” because it reveals who he really is inside, a point which your essay brings out extremely well.
Note red-dawg’s salient observation downthread. It might not even be entirely about ideology, although it is certainly partly about that. It might actually be the fact that someone defied him, that is enraging him.
Typical for a very sick and narcisstic man, of course.
